{woo another short chapter because I'm trying to rapidly finish this story. okay bye}

A week passed. Then two. Then three. Then it had been up to a month since they had split, barley saying anything to each other. Just the occasional "do you want something to eat?" or something along those lines.

One morning Peyton was at one end of the table, Mina at the other. Peyton opened her mouth to speak, "Are we ever going to talk about what happened between us?" She looked up slightly.

Mina kept her eyes fixed on the table. "What's there to talk about?"

"I don't know. Maybe what's going to happen to us. We can't keep going day by day not speaking to each other." Peyton pointed out.

"Okay, you have a point there." Mina tore her eyes away from the table, looking at Peyton.

"Thank you. But, seriously, we can't keep going by acting like the other doesn't exist. We have jobs we have to do and keep working as a team. We can't let our personal lives get in the way of our work."

"That's true." Mina spoke quietly, not knowing what else to say, really.

"Can we just push that whole event behind us and give us," Peyton point to Mina then herself, "one more chance? Please. If it doesn't work out this time I swear that I will leave this bunker without a word."

"Okay, I guess we can give this...us," she corrected herself, "one more chance."

Peyton grinned. "I was hoping you were going to say that."
