Mina took Peyton out to a small park by the bunker. The air was warm even though the sun was setting. They sat on the two end swings on the swing set. "It's so nice out." Mina loved the feeling of the warm air.
"Yeah, it is." Peyton looked around, slightly moving the swing she was on.
There was a silence between them, not an unsettling or uncomfortable one, but a nice one. "How do you feel?" Mina broke the silence.
Peyton shrugged. "Better than before, I guess."
"That's great." Mina smiled, reassuringly.
Peyton made herself go higher on the swing, then slowed down. "So, Pey, I hope this is a good time to talk about this."
Peyton looked at her, "About what?"
"About us. I really really like you. I enjoy spending time with you and I love waking up next to you and kissing you and all of that."
"So, what are you saying?" Peyton cocked her head.
"So, what I'm trying to ask you is will you be my girlfriend?"
