My masks, firm in place Stroking the fire of pretence O woe of mine, remain clandestine For, they feed upon your subsistence My vulnerability is my defeat, Defeat that gifts welts, Welts to scar my heart, To split my soul apart, Reprise shall end in demise.
O how I don't fear death anymore!
Decrees don't bend my head anymore-
Jabs they throw don't kiss me anymore
I lay my masks down, bare my soul My aegis; My empathies.
