Phoenix's POV
Bad people... Of course, they existed. In our galaxy, somewhere out there, was The First Order. But I was sure I would never have to come anywhere near them. Or it? I would never know.
Why would I meet the First Order if I wasn't in any way, affiliated with the Resistance? I was alone, on a tiny planet, with many other loners. When I say alone, I mean no family or friends. It was purely just me. Phoenix Novak. I have absolutely no memory in anyone loving me. Not that it mattered though. I didn't need anyone. People can be cruel, and why allow yourself to be hurt by others?
Wow.
I just realized. I sound very sad.
Anyways, forget I said that. I don't need everyone thinking I'm a sad, little girl. I'd like to see myself as a confident, stunning woman...
Ha! Funny.
I was far from confident. I tried to be at least. I mean, you kind of have to, to get your way around right? But that didn't mean I never became afraid, or anxious. As a matter of fact, I was scared most of the time. I was scared I'd starve, or get killed by the people I shared this planet with. That's why I kept my distance. Now don't get me wrong. I love it here on this sandy, hot planet. It's quiet most of the time and lets me feel independent. But something in the back of my mind, want's to be taken care of. Want's to go explore.
But I just need to tell myself to push that all down and forget about it.
It's never going to happen.
What the hell?
I look around and see that a little girl had run into my leg, and was now sitting on the floor. Her long hair was crazily strung around her face.
"Hey, are you alright?" I reached my hand out, to help her. She looked at me, with a worried look on her face, and got up herself. She immediately looked behind her and ran the other direction.
That was kinda rude. She didn't even answer my question.
I scoffed and looked up to see what that little girl saw. At first, it looked like nothing. Just the normal trading huts, and tiny homes. But that's when I saw it. It was a ship with two winged looking things on the sides of a rectangular, metal box. Beside the ship, was three other miniature ships. I think they were called TIE fighters? I've seen them once, but it was just a memory, and I couldn't recall everything that happened.
Why are there ships coming down on our planet?
I quickly looked around to see if anyone else had noticed and realized that yes. Everyone noticed.
People were grabbing their valuables and running the complete opposite way of the ships. Some ran inside their homes, and others stared in 'awe'.
I didn't know what to do.
I slowly walked backwards, never keeping my stare off the ships. They were starting to land, just a few hundred feet from our tiny town.
Agh!
I fell, straight onto my behind, and saw that I tripped over another person.
"Get off me!" The person shoved my legs ( that were resting on his) off of him, while standing up, and running.
Anxiety hit me like a truck. The ships had opened and all I could see were a few hundred white-suited people walk out in a march.
Is that-?
