A new friend.I was happy to know that someone on this ship actually wanted to talk to me.
Damn... I sound like I'm five.
I stood and thought about Aries for a minute longer. I might have been trying to procrastinate, but who cares. Suddenly, the door -- that lead to the training room-- opened. No one was standing at the front, but it had opened. I looked around before stepping into the room. The door slammed behind me, causing me to jump.
"Who's Aries?"
"Agh!" I hadn't even noticed Kylo Ren sitting at a table in the corner of the room.
"Answer me." He stood up and slowly made his way over to me.
How does he know who Aries is? I legit just 'made' her name.
"I can hear you."
"What?" Kylo was now just a few feet in front of me. He had his mask on, as well as his robe and cloak.
"I can hear you." He emphasized the word 'hear'.
"No, I heard you. But how..? We were in the hallway..?" I looked down at my feet, nervous to show the fear in my eyes.
"Your thoughts Phoenix. I can hear them."
Wha-
"All the time." Kylo turned towards a few mats laid out in the middle of the room.
"H-how?" I watched him as he stood in the middle of the mats, turning towards me, yet again.
"I don't know. But it's irritating."
How is it my fault?
"It's not." Him responding to my thoughts startled me. He sighed and stretched out his fingers towards me. I immediately felt a tug and was shifting over to the mats.
"Do you know why?" I was finally at the mats and felt the Force let go. I stumbled, gaining control over my body again, and looked up to see Kylo in front of me.
"No. But it's irrelevant right now. We need to start your training." Kylo spoke as he reached out his hand and pulled out a dummy. It was the shape of a human and was the same height as me. He then Force grabbed a long stick looking thing, and brought it to his hand.
"You are not ready for a lightsaber, so as of right now, you will use this staff." He handed it to me, and I hesitated before taking it into my own hands.
"What am I supposed to do with this?" I lifted it up a bit, while curiously searching his mask.
If I've already seen his face, then why does he keep that thing on?
"Because I am your superior and you don't have a right to see me without it. Understood?" He heard my thoughts and answered with a low and angry sounding voice.
"Yes, sir." I answered quickly, not wanting to aggravate him. He took a step back, just off the mats, and nodded towards me, indicating to start.
"Uhm, what- what am I supposed to do?"
"Anything. I want to see how you fight." He crossed his arms and looked at me. I nodded and took an attack stance, with my feet spread apart, and my staff in front of me. I brought it up, above my shoulder, and swung down on the dummy. It barely moved.
Jeez, I'm weak.
I looked up at Kylo, who was still staring at me. I took a deep breath and brought the staff to my side, winding it up for a hit. I swung violently at the dummy, causing it to tilt to the left. It wasn't knocked over, but it moved more than last time.
