Sophie's POV

Did I mention that I'm severely afraid of heights? Because if I didn't you probably know this isn't going to end well. My knuckles were turning white from how hard I was holding the armrests. While Fitz over here was just sitting peacefully in his chair, listening to music through his earbuds.

"Sophie, you need to breath to relax, if you didn't know," Fitz told me, his eyes still shut. I inwardly groaned and sat back in my seat. My breathing slowly started to steady once Fitz grabbed my left hand and held it in his. "Breath with me," he whispered. I gulped and took a deep breath before slowly letting it out.

"Better," I told him, retracting my hand. He smiled and turned back to the screen on the seat which was playing a movie. I eventually plugged my earbuds into my ears and started listening to the calmest music in my playlists.

"Hey Sophie," I heard someone whisper/hiss to me about half way through the trip. The person poked my leg and I opened my eyes. Biana was leaning over Fitz's lap, who was sleeping. "Do you want anything to drink or eat?" I shook my head, going back to what I was doing before. My mind started to slowly drift off into a peaceful place. At my childhood home. With my real parents and my sister, Amy.

But the memory quickly turned dark. The cream walls in the house turned a red/black and Amy's screams for me to stop came flooding back.

"Sophie stop!" She shrieked. Suddenly, a hand gripped my wrist.

"Sophie!" A voice shouted. "It's alright, it's just a dream," Fitz cooed to me. I shot up from my seat, rapidly looking around. "We've just landed Sophie, it's okay," Fitz told me. I looked out the airplane window and saw some machines securing the landing tube to the plane. I panted and turned back to Fitz.

"Sorry, just a nightmare," I repeated to him. He nodded and let go of my wrist. I held it against my chest, looking around the now illuminated airplane.

Getting out of security was harder than I thought it was going to be. it was nothing like trying to get into the airport. There were so many teenagers in New York, it wasn't even funny. Lost of the males were good looking and handsome and so were the ladies.

"Don't talk to anyone unless you know they are trustworthy," Fitz spoke to me when we finally entered the security line. I looked around the many rows of teens who were trying to get through the airport admissions.

"How do I know if their trustworthy if I can't talk to them?" I asked. Fitz shrugged.

"They talk first," he told me. I frowned and turned away from the two siblings. Suddenly, I caught two eyes watching me. They were a pair of periwinkle blue eyes. Somewhat familiar to me.

"Dex?" I asked, pushing my way through the crowd. Dex's face burst into a smile as he pushed through and wrapped his arms around me. "Dex!" I said happily, wrapping my arms around his neck. He grinned, lifting me off my feet and spinning around in the small open space.

"Sophie!" He said, his eyes having the familiar sparkle as they did so many years ago. "It's been so long!" I smiled and nodded. Fitz and Biana had noticed I was missing and walked over to where me and Dex were standing.

"Guys, this is my childhood friend Dex," I introduced. I looked over to Dex and saw he had crossed his arms and narrowed his eyes on Fitz.  My eyebrows furrowed as I looked over to FItz and saw him glaring at Dex. "What's wrong?" I asked.

"Deck," Fitz spoke.

"Golden boy," Dex mumbled, glaring at Fitz. Biana and I looked between the two boys in concern.

"You two know each other I presume?" Biana asked. Fitz nodded, answering.

"Deck-"

"Dex," he corrected, gritting his teeth. Fitz's jaw locked as he continued.

"-and I went to the same middle school. He was a little nerd," Fitz mumbled the last part. Dex glared at the taller boy.

"Really, we are going to college and you guys are fighting about middle school bullies?" Biana asked. Both boys let out a sigh and Dex scratched behind his neck. "Okay, come on," Biana said, rolling her eyes and waving for the boys to follow her over to security. Dex seemed to keep me away from Fitz as we walked through security and over to the exits.

"Dex? Are you okay?" I asked. He smiled and nodded, the sun hitting his blue eyes and the four of us walked out of the airport into the New York air.

Sorry this one is a bit short but I wanted to keep the title connected to the chapter so we should have some more chapters coming out soon! :)
