Sophie's POV
Keefe definitely had worked up an apatite by the time we got back with the pizza. Tam had also, but I couldn't blame him since he probably hadn't eaten a hot meal for a while. I let him and Keefe snarf down the doughy goodness while I ate a salad from the fridge.
"So you're my roommate?" Keefe asked, taking another bite of his pizza. I didn't smile when I nodded. He frowned and looked down at his plate. "Do you want any?" He asked. Tam smirked and took another piece of pizza, handing it to me.
"Like you said, Broadway Pizza's the best." I smiled and slowly ate the piece. When we finished, I was about to enter my side of the room when Keefe grabbed my wrist and tugged me back. I turned to him, my eyebrows furrowed.
"I'm sorry I didn't get to introduce myself before. I'm Keefe," he told me, holding a hand out for me to shake. I didn't know what it was about him, but he just gave me sad vibes.
"Sophie," I said, shaking his hand quickly before walking to behind my sheets. tam was sitting on the ground, looking at a book he must have found on my bedside table. He peered up at me and when he saw my weary expression, he set the book back on the table and patted the spot next to him on the ground. I smiled and sat next to him, putting my back to my bed side.
"What's up?" He asked. "Don't like blonde?" He asked. I nodded.
"I don't know. He didn't exactly make a great first impression," I told him. "And you would think he would at least apologize," I said. Tam played with his lip ring, looking at the white sheets.
"Hey, your phone's ringing." I looked over to the table and saw the small device vibrating. I quickly grabbed it and saw it was from Biana. How had she gotten my number? I picked up and Biana immediately started chattering.
"Sophie! Come over to my place right now! We're havin' a party!" She shouted into the phone over the loud music. I was surprised I couldn't hear anything from her dorm. I smiled and hung up, standing up.
"Do you wanna come? My friends are having a party," I told him, putting my phone I my pocket. He shook his head and stood up, sitting on my bed.
"Nah, I wouldn't want to way you down. Have fun and don't get to drunk," he told me, winking. I blushed and turned away from him, walking to the sheets.
"Don't make a mess while I'm gone or I will kick you out," I warned as I walked out. Keefe was sitting on his bed, looking at his phone and I just rolled my eyes before walking out. I walked across the hall and knocked on Biana's door. She opened it with a red cup in her hands, her eyes glazed over.
"Sophie!" She squealed, waving for me to come in. I smiled and walked into the room, seeing the rest of the gang with their drinks. "Do you wanna drink?" She asked, walking over to the kitchen and holding up a few bottles of beer. I shook my head, declining.
"I don't wanna get drunk of my first day," I told her, walking over to the couch and grabbing a soda from one from one of the coolers. Fitz looked pretty drunk and so did Linh.
"Hey Soph!" FItz said, sitting next to me. He was holding a half full beer bottle in his hands and turned away from his alcohol soaked breath.
"Hey Fitz," I said, a bit shyly. He grinned and took another swig of his drink.
The night went somewhat quick. Biana ended up passing out in her bed from the amount of drinks she had and Dex had to shove Fitz back into his room because he was to drunk to cooperate. Everyone had started to clear out of the two girls rooms when suddenly I heard a crashing noise come from across the hall. I immediately stood up and ran out of the door, opening my door to here swearing and arguing voices.
"-fine Bangs Boy!" I heard Keefe yell, his voice wavering.
"No you're not Sencen! Look at the mess Sophie's gonna have to clean up! If I had it my way I would kick you out and onto the streets where you belong!" Tam shouted angrily.
"That's it!" Keef shouted and I saw the blond boy lung for Tam. I slammed the door open and desperately tried to separate the two punching boys. Tam's eyes were full of hatred and rage when I was finally able to peel him off of Keefe.
"Stop!" I shouted, putting my arms up between the two panting boys. Tam had a black eye and Keefe's lip was bleeding along with both boy knuckles. "What is wrong with you?" I asked, pointing an accusing finger at Keefe. He gritted his teeth and turned away from me, mumbling. i looked over to his bed and saw an open beer bottle. My eyes widened as he picked it up and through it on the ground, shattering it.
"Sencen!" Tam warned. Keefe turned to him with heart broken eyes. He looked like he was about to launch at the black haired boy when I put my finger up against his lips.
"Not a word," I told him, narrowing my eyes. He looked long and hard into my brown eyes before turning away and going into the bathroom. I turned to Tam and heard him mumble a few curse words.
"I'll help clean up," he told me. I shook my head and pointed to the white curtain.
"You are going to go clean your hands, okay?" I told him. He looked down at the two shattered bottles and the stained carpet before nodding and walking behind the curtain. I sighed and opened the door to the bathroom. Keefe was wiping his lip with toilet paper, still mumbling under his breath.
"What do you want?" He asked, tossing the paper into the trash can. I rolled my eyes and opened the cupboard under the sink, grabbing some stain remover. I grabbed the dust pan from the cabinet.
"Cleaning up your mess," I told him as I walked out. But suddenly, he grabbed my arm and took the cleaning supplies out of my hand. I looked at him in confusion as he pulled me to his chest and looked me in the eye. They were surprisingly red but I don't think it was from the amount of alcohol he had been drinking. It looked like he had been crying. "Are you crying?" I whispered, biting my lip at our sudden closeness. He he looked away from me, his grip on my wrist loosening.
"No," he murmured as he walked out of the bathroom. I sat in the bathroom a few seconds before looking out and saw him cleaning up the shattered bottle pieces. He was mumbling as he squirted the spray on the yellow stain and started scrubbing it with all his might.
"Is your lip okay?" I asked before I disappeared behind the curtains. He looked up at me with his head tilted in confusion.
"Why do you care?" He asked, taking the rag off the stain, his eyes studying me.
"Gotta make sure my roommates okay."
