It was a few days before her first year in high school. Selene stretched as she slowly sat up in bed. The annoying buzzing of her alarm clock rang in her ears. Her golden eyes glistened as the world froze around her. A heavy sighed escaped her lips while she slowly made her way out of bed.
"Ughhh it's so early in the morning..."
Selene turned off her powers and glared at the alarm. Her door opened a sliver as her mom peeked in.
"Morning sweetie"
"Yeah, morning"
Seraphina smiled sweetly at her grumpy teen. She put her hand on Selene's shoulder.
"Sooo what do you want to do today?"
The young girl closed her eyes as she thought of what they could do to cure her boredom.
"Oh!" A thought popped into her mind "How about visiting Woba Boba?"
Sera's face lit up with excitement. "That sounds perfect." She slowly walked towards the door. "Why don't you get changed and then we can go?"
Selene nodded. Her mother closed the door as she sat down on her bed. School was right around the corner and yet she didn't feel nervous at all. The main thing she was nervous about is her parents finding out her secret. While it wasn't exactly a big one or that important to keep she still felt the need to hide it. Selene didn't know how her parents would react....
"Hey Selene you coming?" A male voice asked. It was her dad, John.
"O-Oh sorry!! I'm coming!" She ran into her closet putting on her jeans and a t-shirt. Then ran downstairs to meet her parents.

Sorry this chapter is so short T_T this was originally going to be the prologue, but I decided it would make more sense if it was present-day UnOrdinary. Anyways I'll try to make the next chapter way longer to make up for this one!
