Selene followed Rylan to the cafeteria. She tried her best to memorize the way to the cafeteria so she wouldn't get lost. This school was more like a maze than, well a school.
"Hey there guys!!" He waved over to a group sitting at a table. There was two girls sitting down and one other boy. The boy, who had teal hair with purple eyes smiled at her and so did a girl with red hair. The other girl looked away shyly.
"Hello!" Said the teal haired boy. "My name is Cedric! I'm the jack at this school." He spoke with a proud smile.
The red haired girl elbowed him and then quickly looked over at Selene "My name is Belise. It's a strange name I know. Oh and Rylan is my older brother! I'm a freshman if you couldn't tell."
Selene smiled cheerfully at her "That makes two of us!"
"Yep! And this here is Clara!!" She pulled over a girl with green bangs and black hair.
"N-Nice to meet you." She tried her best to make eye contact but ended up being a flustered mess.
"She's been here for a year longer! Though the one who's been here the most is my brother Rylan!"
He grinned giving a peace sign. "Yeah, I'm glad that my little sis is her now though!" Rylan sat down as he looked over at Selene, who sat down next.
"So since we're all acquainted why don't we talk about our abilities!" Belise smiled at Selene.
Her happy expression had faded to nervousness as she looked away.
"O-Oh but you don't have too!" And awkward silence looked over the table.
"Why don't I start?" Rylan cleared his throat. "My ability is electricity beams! It's kinda a mix of our parents. It hovers around a 6.2"
"Haha it's pretty awesome to see in action!! My power isn't really as good as my brothers... it's around a 3.4 and it's basically just really weak lighting. I can kinda stun my opponents and can tell where a large amount of electricity is being used but that's about it." She laughed nervously as her brother pat her back.
Clara gave a small meep as everyone looked at her. "W-Well my ability is to track people... though I can't see where they are I can see where they are going... only a few seconds in the future so it doesn't give me much time to get there. It's a 3.0"
"My turn! My ability is I can manipulate energy and use that to either make whips or needles... you name it! It's only a 5.0 though since I don't really train much." He gave a small shrug
Selene could see the blonde haired guy from their class pass by. Rylan noticed too and waved in his direction. "Hey!!! Wanna sit with us!!!"
The boy scoffed and walked over to a empty table and sat down there.
Cedric frowned. "What's that guy's problem?!"
Rylan put his hand on Cedric's shoulder. "Relax he's probably just getting used to the school. Probably wary of other kids."
"Um, just wondering..." Selene started "Who's the queen?"
Rylan narrowed his eyes. "Ugh.... her name is Veranda..."
"Is she bad?" She asked.
"Don't even get me started..." Cedric rolled his eyes.
"She's not very kind. She likes to show people her power and doesn't like me since I normally hang out with anyone and not just royals. Her ability is wind... and well her level is 7.0" He pauses for a second. "Some say she's even higher than that, but they're mainly just rumors..."
"Oh and don't forget her friend." Belise interrupted. "While I haven't seen her in action I've heard she's awful and the ace. Her parents are rich and that just makes her even more stuck up. Her ability is time manipulation, but it's not as strong as the previous time goddess. It's around a 5.7"
"Previous time goddess?" Selene asked inquisitively.
"Yes her name is Seraphina she was a 8.0 and everyone feared her. Though she lost her power and no one is sure if she got them back."
She looked at Belise shocked and just looked away. I knew that mom came to this school, but she never told me about her powers! She never told me she was an 8.0?! Maybe she was queen? I know she and John don't like talking about abilities but I never knew why? Why would she hide this from me and how did she get them back?!
"Anyways." Rylan stood up. "We should probably finish up. Its almost class."
Selene looked up at the clock. "Oh! Right!!"
