¨Please, Dee,¨ Patton begged, ¨You'll love your life here! You'll be happier, I promise!¨

¨You know I can't, love.¨ Deceit sighed. 

¨But why?! Just leave and you'll be happy! You know that!¨

¨Patton, I love you more than anything, but I can't just leave the dark sides!¨

¨Why not though! Virgil did!¨

Deceit sighed.

¨Virgil ran away.¨ He finally said.

¨So then why don't you do that? Please! It's the right thing to do! I should know, I'm morality! You get treated horribly there, so come!¨

Deceit kissed his boyfriend on the cheek. ¨Why don't you come?¨

Patton was taken aback. ¨What?¨

¨Come with me.¨

¨Dee,¨ Patton said, taking Deceit's hand, ¨I would trust you with my life. If this is what you want, I want you to be happy.¨

And with that, Patton.. changed. His hair was a mess, and he had black jagged lines on his cheeks. His clothing turned black.

Deceit touched Patton's forehead. ¨So... you're Apathy, right?¨

¨And you care because...?¨ Patton said.

¨Yep. Definitely Apathy.¨

They fell into the deep of the dark side of the mind palace.

It was shrouded in black mist. Up ahead, there was a single tower, giving off green light.

¨That's where the Duke lives.¨ Deceit said.

¨Did I ask you?¨ Apathy responded.

¨...No.¨

¨Do I look like I care?¨

¨....Also no.¨

¨No duh! I don't care about this, and I definitely don't care about you!¨

Deceit grabbed Apathy's hand and dragged him back to the light. Patton had turned back into.. Patton.

Deceit didn't want to cry, but he was. He buried his face in Patton's shoulder.

¨You.. You don't care about me...¨

¨What!? No, Dee, I care about you more than anything in the world! You know that, right?¨

¨You don't care about me....¨ Deceit whispered.

¨Look at me, Dee,¨ Patton said, ¨You are the most amazing, handsome, and talented person in the world. I am so lucky to have you.¨

¨But I'm... evil. I'm horrible...¨

¨You aren't evil.¨

¨I'm not a light side! I'm not good, Patton! You are better off without me.¨ Deceit sobbed.

¨That is not true Deceit. No matter what, everyone's a little dark. We're all a little gray. Someone very smart taught me that.¨

¨Logan?¨

¨You, Dee, you.¨ Patton beamed.

Deceit pulled him into a kiss.

¨I love you, Pat.¨ He said.

¨I love you more.¨
