Great, just as we reached our destination there had to be just one last problem. Lord Grekkel. Well, to be honest, it's not like he wouldn't be here. After all, he was also after the scroll. "Well, well well, look who we have here, Gothwood's little minions," Grekkel said in a gravelly, ominous tone. "Listen, Grekkel, get out of our way, and there will be no harm done to you" Jake spoke up, saying the name 'Grekkel' with disgust. "Why, would I want to leave? After all, it is the scroll you are after, no? If I also want the scroll, then we have a bit of a problem, don't we now?" Grekkel said with a smirk on his face. "Grekkel, you are outnumbered, so stand down and leave while you still can" I yelled. "Oh, am I?" he said. Then, with a snap of his fingers a bunch of dracanae, empousa, laistrygonian giants, appeared out from behind him, baring their teeth and weapons. With another evil smirk, he used his other hand to snap, and then a group of people surrounded us, no, demigods. "Why would you do this?" Eliza yelled. "Don't do this, you are on the wrong side! We are both demigods!" Ethan pleaded. One of the demigods with blonde hair spoke up, "Yeah, we may be demigods, but Gothwood and your stupid little camp doesn't supply you with pay, or with freedom. You guys are cooped up, like hamsters" he smiled "We, on the other hand, are paid, and we have our rooms, and we don't spend our time, sleeping with other people, and we have freedom, we are allowed to roam the cities and shops, and buy our food, which isn't made by a chef" another spoke. "Which means that you people will have to die," said another. The sound of metal blades sliding against sheaths rang in my ears, and the sound from the number of swords that were drawn made me cringe. Grekkel walked away and said, "Deal with them, I don't care how, or where, just make it happen" "Yes Boss!" a chorus of voices sounded from the demigods and the monsters roared in approval. Right about when the other demigods charged at us Jake's eyes went bright white then yellow, he dropped his sword and shield and started levitating. "What the hell?" one of the demigods said. Jake rose higher and higher into the sky, reaching about 1 metre in hight so far. "Archers fire away, quick!" a demigod panicked. Multiple people fired arrows at Jake, which harmlessly bounced off of him as if his skin was made of steel. Jake now reached 3 metres in high, and he let out a yell, which seemed very magnified and louder than humanly possible. Dark clouds appeared over our assailants and lightning struck around them. BOOM! One of them yelled as a bolt struck only a couple of feet away from him. The enemies ran away as lighting danced around their feet and one of them had a bolt to the head and his body crumpled. The clouds started to dissipate and the lighting stopped. Jake then fell to the ground and passed out.

Eliza was the first to reach him, "Jake? Oh my gods! Are you alright?" Eliza cradled his head in her hands as we all gathered around him. His eyes fluttered open and he looked at us then smiled, "Hey, guys" I breathed a sigh of relief as he was going to be okay. Jake stood, with help from Eliza. "So, what did I just do?" E-doh smirked, then answered, "Basically you were flying, then you went all flashy eyes mode then you zapped the baddies. "Zapped?" Jake asked. I pointed towards the unconscious demigod. Jake just made a face, as if to say, Ohhhh. "Well, get back up, we have places to be," I said to him. He nodded and beckoned us to follow. Jake took the lead when we were moving through the cave. We heard footsteps in front of us and Jake motioned us to crouch down and stop moving, which we all did. "Well, Lord Grekkel almost has the scroll, about half an hour from now, and we will have the scroll!" one of the evil demigods exclaimed to his partner. We all looked at each other in shock. I heard movement from within our group and saw Ethan with his bow out, holding two arrows at once, he looked at me and nodded, I turned to see if Jake approved, but he already approved and was telling Ethan when to shoot, he pulled his hand down and Ethan fired. The two arrows glided seamlessly through the air and hit their targets, and both the demigods crumpled. We moved along past the bodies and I saw the two arrows stuck in their necks, with the demigod's hands up as if to block the bleeding, but their attempts were futile because they were already dead, I gulped. Although we brought down two of their guards, that was just two people, which were part of their preliminary defences, and there were still hundreds of demigods left, it was almost like an anthill of demigods going left and right, carrying things, dropping things off, and guarding the scroll, which was in the middle stuck in its almost impenetrable form. Around the scroll were many different types of saws, mechanical, handsaws, and big ones too, and the container was red from them heating it up and rapidly cooling to try and break the metal, which didn't seem to be breaking soon. "Gothwood wasn't lying, that metal is impenetrable" Eliza muttered. "Yeah," I said. Jake spoke up, "Alright guys, we are going to have to get that scroll and get out of here, I don't want anybody getting hurt or killed today Okay?" I nodded. Jake turned to Eliza, "Eliza I want you to stay here with Ethan" Eliza looked at him as if he was crazy, "Why!? I should go with you guys to help, why do I have to stay here!" Eliza exclaimed. Jake looked at her and sighed. "Please Eliza I don't want you to get hurt okay, plus if things go wrong you and Ethan can easily get out and let Gothwood know," Jake said softly. "Fine" Eliza grumbled. "Alright, let's get a move on, we don't have time to waste" Jake sighed. Jake spoke again, "Okay, we need a distract-" "I'll do it!" E-doh said, cutting off Jake's sentence. "What is it going to be?" I questioned

E-doh smirked, "Just you wait for it D-boy, just you wait" and with that, he scampered off into the darkness. "Ethan, don't you let her get hurt okay?" Jake said to Ethan. "Oh yes, I will make sure prince charming will be able to get back to his princess bride," Ethan said in a mock voice. Both of Eliza's and Jake's faces burned crimson. "In all seriousness though, Ethan, keep a good watch out, there could be people anywhere is this mountain cave," I said, to which he nodded in acknowledgement. "Jeez, can we get a move on already?" I said and started moving towards the middle.

Ten minutes later (Imagine in the SpongeBob voice)

Jake and I sat behind a rock waiting for the 'distraction' out of the blue and big BOOM! sounded from across the chasm. Jake and I whipped our heads to the location of the explosion to see E-doh grinning wickedly while the explosion was just a few metres behind him. A stray piece of debris crashed into the rock next to him, sending him sprawling to the ground. Jake turned to me and said, "Alright Derek, it is you and me now, get to the scroll and get out, easy as that" "Easier said than done Jake, anyways let's just get his over with, come on!" Jake and I ran under the cover from the shadows of the cave, we managed to get about 10 metres closer to the cube until one of Grekkel's minions spotted us, "Oi! There are two more little ones!" he sounded to the rest of the group and many of them came over to us, "Alright kids, you don't know what you are tampering with right now so I suggest you back off before it is too late, okay?" another demigod said. "Never!" Jake and I said in unison before charging the first demigod. He looked at us in surprise for a split second before raising his sword to chop at our necks. He swung at Jake, and Jake easily parried it and went for a stab to the gut, the demigod went to block it but only half succeeded, and the sword went through his hip instead, "Aaarrhhg!" he yelled in pain. Jake yanked his sword out which also brought out a chunk of the man's heap muscle, Jake swung the sword horizontally overhead and went for a chop to the gut, the man was virtually defenceless and it hit its mark. The sword made it halfway through the man's body and he dropped. I looked at Jake's face and he told me "Derek, now is your chance to get the scroll, go now, I'll try and hold them off!" Jake yelled at me. "Bu-" "No, go!" Jake yelled. I nodded and ran to the scroll where there were two more minions. I charged them and stabbed one in the shin and he went down the other I swung at his leg, chopping it clean off and he went down screaming. I grabbed the scroll. Right as I was turning around one the evil minions grabbed me by my ankles and I fell. He looked at me and pulled out a knife from his pocket he raised his arm and I raised my arms to try and disarm him and blocks the blow so it isn't as fatal. THUNK! His arm dropped and the knife clattered to the ground. He laid motionless, an arrow protruding from his head, a stream of blood steadily flowing out. I turned around to see Ethan with a grimace on his face me motioned towards Jake, who was surrounded by demigods. I stuffed the scroll in my back pocket and ran to assist Jake. I almost reached Jake when a sword stuck into his calf and he dropped to one knee. The sword pulled out and it was raised to chop Jake's head off like a guillotine. When a flurry of blondish hair ran in front and raised a steel object and the two swords clashed. In front stood Eliza with her sword locked in place with the demigod's sword I reached Eliza and stabbed the demigod in the gut, allowing Eliza to go to Jake to assist him. I heard multiple whizzing sounds and Ethan stood behind us, firing arrows left and right making many demigods drop dead, or run away in fear. He shouldered his bow. I looked and saw E-doh coming over to us. E-doh reached us. "Guys, I'm the tallest, I'll carry Jake and you guys have to make sure no baddies come and get me alright?" He said. We all said yes. E-doh hefted Jake up onto his shoulder careful not to touch his leg too much, and we started on our way back to the entrance, or in this case, the exit of the cave. When we reached the entrance of the cave we ran towards the cover of the dense forest which was relatively dark compared to the rest of the area. I dropped to the ground exhausted and E-doh laid Jake down on the ground. Jake groaned and gingerly touched his leg. Eliza ran over to him and looked sternly at him, "Jake, Jake, Jake, Jake, what were you thinking? If it wasn't for me you would be a headless corpse on the floor of a cave!" Jake looked at her sheepishly. Jake looked at me, "Derek, did you manage to get the scroll?" I slowly pulled it out from my back pocket. "Yes!" everyone cheered. "We did it!" I high fived the two Ethans. I turned to see Jake pick up Eliza and spin her while cheering, I saw the colour of Eliza's face, which was blood red. I locked eyes with E-doh and we both chuckled. Jake put Eliza down and stumbled onto a tree and grimaced, I laughed at him for his stupidity. "Well, guys lets get going, we have to reach the camp, then we have to go back to Camp Demigod," Jake said to us. A chorus of cheers sounded from us. Eliza lifted Jake's arm around her shoulder, and with our spirits lifted, we made our way back to camp.
