"What are you doing awake at such an early time Eliza?" I question her "Why don't you ask yourself the same question, Jake?" , "Well what do you think I am doing?" "Training" she answers bluntly "Yeah no-shoot sherlock" I mumble under my breath "What was that?" "Nothing! "I yell quickly, not wanting an argument so early in the day "Anyways come on Jake we have breakfast at the mess hall" "Aye ay captain, be there in ten". I jog to my cabin and pick out a new shirt (because my old one was drenched with sweat)I put some deodorant on and jogged to the mess hall. "Hey, Jake! Sit over here with Kyan and me!" one of my two best friends calls to me, "Okay let me get breakfast first!" Derek gave me a thumbs up in approval. I walk to the counter and asked Karen (The lunch lady) for some food "What is for breakfast today Karen?" "Bacon, Eggs, and Pancakes!" she replies happily as she hands my a tray, loaded with food I walk back towards Kyan and Derek, "Hey guys what's up?" I ask them "Oh, nothin' just eating some food!" Kyan answered, obviously enthusiastic about it. "Why do you love eating so much food, and yet you are not fat?" I ask Kyan in disbelief "Why don't you mind your own business!" Kyan snaps at me, "Okay! Jeez, just a question". I dig into my breakfast, hungry from training earlier this morning. After a couple minutes of silence other than the scrape of cutlery on plates and the occasional 'thump' of a cup on the table, I finally break the silence, "Alright guys I'm finished, see you guys later" I tell my friends "Okay, bye" Derek answers, all Kyan gives me is a wide smile, bits of food sliding down his chin, "Disgusting" I mumble to myself as I walk away.
