futures are hard to talk about

(I'm back! I've been making some other chapters in the past couple of weeks, but in the meantime enjoy this small little fluffy one shot! This may suck, please don't yell at me! lol)

The moon shined through the open curtains as Cheryl and Toni slipped into the comfort of their bed, resting their heads on the pillows and their bodies wrapped around each others. The girls had to wake up early in the morning for their graduation ceremony, so they decided to end their night fairly early.

To them it was worth it. Being able to wrap their arms tightly around each other. Being able to rest their bodies and feel safe only because they were with each other. It meant everything to them.

Toni was only a couple seconds away from falling asleep before Cheryl's soft voice could be heard in the darkness.

"Toni? Are you still awake?"

Toni hummed, lifting her head slightly from the pillow and opening her eyes to gaze at Cheryl.

"I was just thinking about the future." The redhead replied, "you know.. since tomorrow we graduate."

"Are you scared?" Toni found herself asking as she rested her head back onto the pillow again.

"Not anymore." Cheryl whispered, her eyes meetings the pink haired girls. "Because you're here."

"What do you mean?"

"If I didn't have you... I'd be terrified." She said. "Before you came into my life, I actually was scared of my future. I wasn't sure I was going to have one." She sighed, "but then you appeared and all these feelings came to me. I actually feel like I have a future now."

"What do you want in your future?" Toni asked, wrapping her arm further around the waist of Cheryl.

"Well... for starters. Let's get this graduation over with. Then college."

Toni chuckled, leaning forward into the darkness, finding Cheryl's lips and kissing softly. "And then what?"

"Then the rest is history." Cheryl replied, relishing in the moment and feeling of Toni's lips on hers.

Toni closed her eyes and inched closer to Cheryl. "You wanna know what I want my future to look like?"

Toni felt Cheryl squeeze her hand, so she continued.

"I see ourselves graduating college and moving into a different house. I see ourselves getting engaged and eventually married." Toni leaned forward once again, meeting the redhead's lips in a deep kiss. She pulled away and smiled, "I see ourselves with maybe two or three little redheaded kids running around the house. I see ourselves watched our children graduate from high school... and then college just like we did."

Toni's eyes met with Cheryl's and she lifted her hand to wipe away a tear that escaped the redhead's eyes. "I see a bright future for the two of us, baby."

Cheryl didn't respond in words. She respond by lifting her head and kissing Toni with so much passion and love. Toni didn't expect it at first, but she didn't mind.

Their lips moved in sync for a couple of moments before having to separate for a breath of air.

"You really want all of that... with me?"

"I couldn't imagine it with anyone else, Cher." Toni chuckled, laying her head on Cheryl's chest. "You're my world. I love you, baby."

Cheryl's heart fluttered with so much affection.

She remembered when her mother said she wouldn't find love.

That she didn't deserve love.

That no one would love her.

That she couldn't love anyone.

She believe it at first.

Not anymore.

"I love you too, Toni." Cheryl whispered. "I always will."

Toni believed that.
