I decided to update once again since we're being put in quarantine. Stay safe everyone!

Thistlehouse was usually lonely whenever Cheryl was at home nowadays. It had been like that ever since Cheryl's break up with Toni. The nights were usually spent either making dinner together and cuddling up by the fire or special moments in the bed that went on for hours. While during the day they had school and came home to play games and have sleepovers with their friends. They helped each other out with their homework and had meetings with the serpents and poisons. Plus, with Vixen's practice.. it was hard, but they always had each other. That's what the two used to do. It was their normal everyday schedule. Now, all Cheryl ever did was cry. She cried so much that some days she didn't have enough tears left to cry. It hurt, but the thing was.. no one noticed.

She always faked a smile while around her friends and it always worked. She always pretended that she was okay, that she's moved on and that her life was getting fixed again.

It wasn't even close to the truth.

Cheryl was falling apart and without Toni there to fix it, she was terrified that she wouldn't be near as happy as she used to be with the serpent.

Today.. today wasn't an acceptation. She was just having a normal conversation with Veronica and Kevin.. and Toni of course had to walk in with the invitations.

And without officially realizing it, she just accepted to come to the wedding.

The wedding of her ex-girlfriend of whom she never stopped falling for.

Cheryl believed that they were forever. That Cheryl would be the one that would marry Toni. That the two high school soulmates would live a long and happy life together.

To Cheryl, things you hope for don't happen and never will.

As soon as the two broke up, Cheryl was devastated. She felt exactly how she felt during the break up as she did when her brother passed away. Jason was always there for her through thick and thin. Toni was always there for her for the same reasons.

Until they were both taken away.

Cheryl said she was going to the wedding.

She couldn't break a promise to her best friend.

Her best friend that was still by her side although they were broken up.

Cheryl Blossom didn't have a clue what to do.

It was either to sacrifice her happiness and go to her ex-girlfriend's wedding.

or

Stay at home while her friends were at the wedding and understanding the fact that she told Toni that she'd be there either way.

It's not like Toni would realize after all.

Toni wouldn't realize at all if Cheryl didn't attend her wedding.

She didn't want to ruin it for the pinkette.

...

So, Cheryl found herself throwing the invitation in the garbage can before climbing the stairs to her bedroom, her stomach twisting and turning inside her. She threw herself onto the comfy mattress and pulled the covers up to her shoulders. Cheryl grabbed the pillow in front of her, holding it tightly against her body with tears flowing once again.

The pillow that Toni used to sleep on.

God, she missed her.

But nothing will ever change the fact that she's gone.

She lost her chance.

It's over.

Cheryl fell asleep that night with her head in the clouds and heart cracked into pieces.

What people thought during that time was the Cheryl was going to be in attendance at the wedding,

Now, Cheryl wasn't even sure that was possible.

And that's why the lonely Blossom didn't start making progress on getting herself ready for the occasion. She knew that if she went she'd be crying the entire time.

She knew that seeing her ex-girlfriend getting married to someone else would break her entirely.

So... she made a promise to herself.

That no matter what happens, Cheryl Blossom would not attend the wedding.

It may be selfish.

But Cheryl's been broken before.

And she wasn't about to break herself further whilst ruining Toni's night.

She wanted her to be happy and the best way for that to happen was to stay at home on wedding day.

So for that day until the next week the redhead took note.

Cheryl Blossom wasn't going to Toni Topaz's wedding.

--------------------------------------------

Jade was her name.

The girl that was marrying her.

It felt weird hearing the name Jade in Riverdale.

She thought that it would be normal for places like California or New York, but defiantly not Riverdale.

But she cared about her.

Of course she did, she was marrying the girl.

But Toni still couldn't wrap her head around the fact that Cheryl's expression that morning at Pop's Diner wasn't normal.

Of course, they were still friends and told each other everything, but why did Cheryl react like that?

And why did she leave that quick after the encounter with the three?

Toni couldn't fully comprehend the fact that something was wrong.

But what?

The pinkette slowly pulled out her phone from her back pocket and turned it on. She found herself looking down at her texts with Cheryl.

Should she ask?

Cheryl wasn't acting the same.

Toni: Hey, Cher. Is everything okay? I haven't seen you act the way you did in pop's today in a long time.

Normally Cheryl would respond instantly but nothing was sent back. There wasn't even a sigh of her reading the text message.

Toni sighed, clicking the button on the side of her phone to turn it back off.

She needed an answer.

And Toni was determined to get it before the wedding in one week.

But Toni also needed to focus on the big event.

After all, she was about to get married.

Her life was about to change.

...

But it didn't feel like it.

She felt like something was wrong.

But what?

And why was she so much more worried about Cheryl than her own big day coming up in less than seven days?

What was going on?!

Hope you enjoyed! The final chapter of this probably won't be posted UNTIL next week! Until then, drink water, wash your hands and STAY SAFE!
