Cheryl Blossom wasn't one for being romantic. She wasn't used to all the love and affection and sometimes she didn't want it. So, maybe that's how she felt the exact feeling of her mother's heartless words when she found herself breaking up with her girlfriend of three years after they just couldn't keep the relationship alive. It wasn't toxic, in fact it was completely the opposite. The two fell deeply in love with each other in high school during sophomore year and when they broke up they were still deeply in love. They promised to stay best friend, and ever since their break up three years ago, they've still been hanging out.

Things do change though.

Toni her her new girlfriend with whom she started dating just a year after Cheryl broke up with her, proposed.

And Toni said yes.

Cheryl broke down that night, her head was aching and spinning. Her heart was breaking and cracking.

And once again, just like in high school, she felt alone.

She knew that once it was finalized and once the two exchanged their vows and kissed, she would lose her best friend.

Toni would move on from her and act like nothing between the two happend.

Toni would forget about her best friend and move on with her happy life without her.

Without her...

7 months later and that's when she found herself inside Pop's diner with Veronica and Kevin, drinking milkshakes and talking about the crisp air outside that day when Toni walked into the diner.

She smiled as soon as she saw the three sitting in their normal booth and walked over, holding specific envelopes.

"Morning, Toni!" Veronica grinned, scooting over to let Toni sit next to her.

"Good morning, guys." She replied, taking the seat next to the raven haired female. "I've got an invitation for you three."

She handed the letters out. Veronica and Kevin opened them instantly, while Cheryl just placed it on the table in front of her, her eyes glaring a hole straight through it.

"Wedding invitations? Hell yeah!" Veronica said, "I'll be there."

"Me too!" Kevin replied, nodding at the smiling pinkette.

Then the three turned towards Cheryl. Kevin and Veronica looked confused, placing their hands on the table and leaning forward.

"Well... Cheryl?" Kevin wondered, "are you coming?"

Cheryl finally looked up from the letter and up at her ex-girlfriend. "Yeah... yeah I-I'll be there."

Toni looked down towards the floor, holding her breath. "Thank you."

Then she sprung up from the booth and walked away in a hurry.

"What was that about?" Veronica turned towards Kevin.

Kevin just shrugged, "maybe she had to do something and forgot about it."

Veronica just nodded in agreement.

Cheryl was just as confused as her two friends sitting in front of her. She didn't actually understand why Toni left in such a hurry, but then thought about the wedding.

"Probably something involving the wedding." Cheryl whispered, hanging her head.

"Yeah, maybe she's picking a dress or.. or handing out more invitations!" Kevin said estatically.
