The following day Charlie was in the kitchen drinking his coffee and reading his newspaper as the girls were in their rooms preparing for their first day at a new school. Just then there was a knock on Adelaide's door as she put on her shoes.

"Come in, Bee." Adelaide called out as she glanced over to the door before going back to her shoes. "How'd you know it was me?" Bella questioned coming in the room but she knew it was pointless to ask.

"Besides myself there are only two other people in this house." Adelaide started as she fixed her bag looking over to her best friend. "And one, who has heavier footsteps, is downstairs drinking his coffee."

"How do you know he's drinking coffee?" Bella sat down on Adelaide's couch waiting for her to finish so they could leave. "Because I can smell burned toast so I am guessing Charlie gave up making breakfast and settled with drinking his coffee." Adelaide answered as she knew fully well if Charlie was cooking something it would get burned quickly.

"So the only other logical person who would be knocking would be you." Adelaide finished turning back to her best friend. "It's terrifying how accurate you are sometimes." Bella sighed, taking off her backpack as she commented to her.

"Well, I can be a terrifying person. Plus those accurate things do save our asses a lot of times." Adelaide shrugged with a smirk not hating the fact that she could intimate people many times. "Honestly. Like that one time you knew we were having a crappy surprise pop quiz in language arts in eighth grade." Bella nodded as she thought back to the memories back at their middle school in Phoenix.

"I knew it was going to happen just because of Mr. Jackson's facial expression. He looked too happy that moment before school started. So it was either a pop quiz . . ." Adelaide held a finger up as she tried to keep in laughter. "Or he got laid!" The girls finished together bursting out in laughter. "Which we all know could have never happened." Bella wiped her eyes, not being able to keep it in.

"He had hated me so much because I always knew it was going to happen." Adelaide chuckled as she zipped up her backpack knowing that teacher had opinions of her. "Oh, please, Addie. You were his favorite student, you always got A's in his classes even if you didn't understand his lectures." Bella sent her a look reminding her of their experience in his class.
