Recap: Just before anyone could say anything everyone turned to the forest in unison as the forest rustled. Out of the forest came James, Victoria, and Laurent who were walking directly to them causing Adelaide and Bella to hold on to each other's arms with Jasper and Edward by their side.

"I believe this belongs to you." Laurent held up their baseball before tossing it to Carlisle in lighting speed. "Thank you." Carlisle politely smiled as he caught it perfectly. "I'm Laurent. This is Victoria. And James." Laurent introduced themselves but while this was happening James would stop staring at Adelaide or Bella with hunger. "Carlisle. And this is my family." Carlisle introduced his coven.

"I'm afraid your hunting activities have caused something of a mess for us." Carlisle informed Laurent and his coven. "Our apologies. We didn't realize the territory had been claimed." Laurent responded as he wasn't thinking a coven could claim a land with many humans near.

"Yes, well, we maintain a permanent residence." Carlisle explained furthermore trying to avoid any issues from happening. "Really? Well, we won't be a problem any more." Laurent slightly chuckled as he shared a surprised look with Victoria and James. "The humans were tracking us, but we led them East. You should be safe." Victoria smirked as she whispered with a little taunt.

"Excellent." Carlisle politely smiled as he wanted them to leave but he knew he had to deal with this rationality. "So? Could you use three more players? Oh, come one. Just one game." Laurent asked Carlisle but he did not really seem to like this idea. "Sure. Why not? A few of us were just leaving. You can take their place." Carlisle nodded seeing there was no way out of this without a fight emerging.

"We'll bat first." Carlisle tossed the ball toward Laurent but mid air someone else had caught it. "I'm the one with a wicked curveball." Victoria smirked catching the ball before Laurent could catch it. "Oh, well, I think we could handle that." Emmett nodded with a smirk of his own. "Oh." Laurent chuckled before the rest joined in as well.

Bella locked eyes with James as Adelaide was trying to read him but failed as extreme pain came to her mind while she tried to keep it hidden. The Cullens, Victoria, and Laurent began to walk off but just as Edward and Jasper were having a stare down with James.

The two were about to take the girls to the jeep a wind swept to them flipping the girls hair. James, being able to smell their blood now, took a huge whiff of their blood but one seemed stronger for him.

"You brought snacks."

James bared his teeth rushing to the girls which led to Edward and Jasper pushed the girls behind them as they spring up to James baring their teeth growling as menacing as they could but James didn't back down in fact he growled back. 

Immediately the Cullens rush to stand beside Edward and Jasper protecting the girls as well while Laurent puts a hand in front of James trying to stop him as Victoria stands beside James.
