"You are a spectacular woman and no one can deny that, Adelaide." A deep voice filled with love held her hand as they walked through the garden with the glares of the moon dancing upon them.
"You say that now but within time you will come to realize that I am not." Adelaide let out a chuckle hiding the pain each word she spoke gave her letting go of the hand of the man in front of her.
"I know I will not ever see such lies come into light. . . only a fool would believe such a thing."
Adelaide stood in the middle of the living room at the house of the Cullens' ignoring everything around her just staring into the air with a blank expression wondering to herself where she heard that voice before.
That voice was so familiar to her it was almost as if it was a record being played on replay but it was as if she remembered the lyrics but had forgotten the title.
Rosalie was about to pass by Adelaide but she noticed something was troubling the girl seeing her frozen in the middle of the living room she had tried to snap her out of it yet nothing seemed to work yet.
"Ada!" Rosalie clapped her hands in front of Adelaide worries running through her voice after a while since Adelaide had not responded to anything she tried to say before.
"Pardon?" Adelaide shook her head blinking several times before looking towards the blonde beauty who stood in front of her in confusion wondering what could have happened.
"Are you alright? You seemed distracted." Rosalie questioned her worryingly hoping nothing was wrong seeing the sadness in her eyes for a split second but as she asked her the same moment Emmett passed by them making sure to leave a comment.
"She was probably thinking about what she and Jasper could do while we wait for the birthday girl." Emmett smirked over to his wife and Adelaide before he continued to place the streamers where Alice ordered him to.
"Emmett!" Rosalie sighed in annoyance at her husband's action before grabbing her heel and tossing it to her husband's head causing him to complain but Rosalie turned back to Adelaide who was laughing. "Something seemed to bother you, what was it?" She placed her hand on Adelaide's shoulder hoping it was not anything too painful.
