Zacks POV
I'm what? Did he just say Mississippi? Shit. Shitty shit shit!
"You've got to be kidding me." my parents just starred at me with both their arms crossed. "Fine! I'll go pack my damn bags." I said passing them, and earning a slap upside the head from my mom for swearing.
I went up to my room and punched the wall leaving a pretty nice indent. My door swung open and when I turned around I saw my two brothers standing in the doorway grinning. One brother was older by two years and the other younger by three minutes.
"Nice going dumbass. You just got kicked out of the house in the matter of what? 15 minutes? And you have to be gone when? Tomorrow?" my older brother Brett retorted. He's such a fag.
"Shut the fuck up Brett. I didn't even set fire to the fricken building. It was Al, and we were drunk." I said trying to cover my ass. It wasn't me who started the building on fire, not like I remember who started it considering I was totally wasted at the time. I do remember however, us setting fire to the thing. The reason I know I didn't set the fire was because it was on tape, and I'm pretty sure that if those cameras weren't watched 24/7 we wouldn't have gotten caught by the police.
"Yeah well you're lucky no one was hurt and there wasn't any charges pressed against you and mom and dad didn't kick you out on your ass permenatly." Jace my younger brother said back to me.
"Get the hell out of my room dickheads." I said pushing them both out and slamming the door in their faces. "Now that wasn't very nice was it?" Jace asked, his voice muffled through the door, and I knew he was trying to get me mad so I ignored him. I don't do that very often.
I went to my closet and took out my 2 duffel bags and my back pack. I stuffed most of my cloths in the duffel bags and some other necisary items; tooth brush, hair gel, that sort of thing. When I was done I was all packed and ready to go.
I flopped on my bed and fell into a surprisingly peacfull sleep.
The next morning I was awaken by the blankets being whipped off me. "Rise and shine! Time to go to the great Mississippi!" I opened my eyes and found it to be very bright so I had to squint at the person talking. Jace.
"Get out of my fucking room Jace!" I shouted covering my head with the pillow. I heard the door open and close. Great, he's gone. A minute later I heard the door open again and the next thing I know "RRRRIIINNNNGGGG!" I was so scared I screamed like a little girl and flew out of bed landing on the not so soft wooden floor of my bedroom.
I got up and ran after Jace. He ran down the hallway and leaped over the railing and ran down the stairs. I did the same and chased him into the kitchen where my mom was making breakfast. Jace was hiding behind my mom like the girl he is. How is he my twin?
Jace and me didn't really look that much alike. It was me and Brett that looked like we were twins. We had the same dark brown hair that curled a little at the ends when we let it grow long enough, and bright blue eyes. I had higher cheekbones than Brett and a different nose. Bretts was small yet manly, while mine was longer. Jace was blonde hair hazel eyes, and he had the same nose as me and the same facial structure as Brett.
"You're such a girl." I said and went to thecounter where my mom ser out the food that was already made. I grabbed a couple prices of bacon and two pancakes and went to the table to eat.
My mom came over to the table with two plates in her hand and set one infront of Jace and one where she was going to sit.
"So, the family that you'll be staying with are good friends of ours. They own a farm, and you will be working on their farm the whole summer. They will pay you for the work that you do, but if you just screw off the whole time they won't hestitated not giving you your money." Great. I get to work on a farm. Yippie. (note sarcasm)
"Great. Can't wait." I said and got up from the table to go get ready. I had two and a half hours until I had to be on the plane. I went upstairs put on some cacky shorts with a white v-neck t-shirt that showed off my six pack. I went to the bathroom brushed my teeth and went back into my room to grab my shoes and hat. I picked up the only shoes that I left out from my duffle, a pair of black and red air jorden high tops. I grabbed my beanie and went downstairs with my duffles and backpack.
"All set bud?" my father asked as he got his car keys. I rolled my eyes and walked past him without answering his dumbass question. I heard him sigh behind me and him, my mom and my brothers all followed me out to the car.
After a silent car ride and going through the check in at the airport, it was time to say goodbye..... To an awesome summer going to waste. "By sweety. Please don't do anything totally ruthless while you're away." my mother said giving me a hug.
My dad pulled me in and said, "We'll miss you son. And I second what your mother said. Nothing stupid."
My two idiotic brothers walked up to me and each slapped me on the back, "Have fun in great ole' Mississippi." Jace said in a horrible southern accent.
"Yeah. Have fun working on the farm shovling horse crap and plowin' the old fields." I rolled my eyes at their lame antics. "Well I gotta go. Bye guys." I said just wanting to get away from them and their annoyingness. They all waved and I walked away, maybe a little to fast.
3 HOURS LATER
Finally! It's about fricken time this stupid plane landed. I don't mind flying I just get really bored, and since my iPad ran out of battery the first forty minutes of the ride because I forgot to charge it last night, I got really bored reading these stupid plane magezines.
In the airport I made my way to the luggage claim and found my bags and looked around. I didn't know who I was looking for, or what they looked like.
All of a sudden, "Zackary Landey?" I whirled around and saw a man and a woman looking at me. "Yeah, that's me. Are you my parents friends?" I asked. I didn't even know their name.
"Yes, hi. I'm Debbie Nash and this is my husband Eric Nash." I shook both of their hands trying to be polite dispite my horrible mood. "Hi. Nice to meet you." was all I said. I didn't want to say anything more because then I would probably say what I was thinking and let's just say I wasn't thinking happy thoughts.
"Well come with us and we'll bring you back to the house." Ohhh. How I can't wait.
The car ride was spent in an awkward silence. They probably sensed that I didn't want to talk, and I was grateful for that. We turned into this long, wide driveway that led up to a really nice farm house.
They led me into the house and I couldn't help be surprised. It was really nice inside. It looked like something that came out of a magezine. They led me upstairs and to a room at the end of the hall, "This is your room. Hurry and unpack, we have to show you the rest of the farm." Debbie said and exited the room.
I didn't have much to put away. Just some cloths and shoes really. I was done within 10 minutes and then I went downstairs. I saw that Eric was there but Debbie wasn't.
"I'll give you the official tour of the farm. Come with me." he said and to be honest didn't really sound to pleased. When we got out of the house he stopped and turned towards me, "Before I show you anything I just want to make something clear. I know why you're here, and if you do anything that will put me or my family in danger I will do something about it. You might be Johns boy, and he might be my best friend but that won't change anything. So basically don't do anything stupid. Are we clear?" did he just threaten me? Normally I would have just told him off, but I'm here to 'turn my life around.' I nodded and Eric smiled, "Good. Now how about that tour." this should be a very interesting summer. But little did I know it was about to get even more interesting.
