Zacks POV
The tour went well considering the fact that Eric threatend me to stay in line, or else. He showed me the barn and where he kept his horses and pigs. He also had a couple cows but they had a separate barn for them. Eric also showed me the chicken coop. It was very intresting. (sarcasm)
We made it back to the house and Debbie was in the kitchen cooking something that smelled delicous. "Hey Eric, have you seen April?" who's April?
Eric shook his head, "No, but Jewls was gone from the barn. She out riding somewhere. She'll most likely be back soon." as soon as Eric said it I heard hoofs pounding against the ground. I looked out the window just in time to see a black blur speed by. "See. I told ya she'd be back soon." Eric said smiling.
About 10 minutes later the back door opened and in walked in a incredably hot girl. She was pretty tall, with straight long blonde hair going to her pant line. This girls hair was so blonde it looked almost white. She would probably stand out in a crowd of blondes, and I think it was natural. She had big bright green eyes was only wearing mascara and eyeliner. She had a very natural look to her.
She was wearing a grey tank top with blue beads across the top, jean short shorts and brown cow girl boots. Her golden skin seemed to glow the way the light was surounding her.
"April, this is Zackary Landey. The boy that will be staying with us for the summer." Debbie introduced us. April stuck out her hand for me to shake and I took it, " Its nice to meet you
Zackary." she said in her southern accent.
"You can just call me Zack." I said. She nodded and turned to her mom, "Whats for dinner?"
"Uh, steak, garlic mashed potatos, and salad. For desert pumpkin cheese cake." holy shit. I
guess I could get used to this place.
After the table was set and we were all sitting down enjoying the delicous dinner that Debbie
had made, the Nashes were having pleasent conversation, and I gladly stayed out of it.
"So mom and dad, I was wondering if I could go to Danni's party on tomorrow? I promise I
will be responsible and not do anything stupid. Please?" is this chick kidding me? She
asking permission to go to a party where there will be alcohol and drugs? This chick is
crazy.
Debbie and Eric exchanged glances and Eric nodded, "As long as you're responsible and
you're home by 1:00, or pay the consiquences. Is that understood?" April grinned from ear
to ear, "Thank you dad. I promise."
This family is insane. My parents would never let me go to a party. I always had to sneak
out if I wanted to go to one, and ended up getting in huge trouble the next morning which
was always a bitch considering I always had a massive hangover.
I glanced up to see Debbie nudge Eric with her elbow and nod her head toward me. Eric
gave her an 'are you kidding me right now' look and she gave him a 'don't you dare mess
with me or you will feel my rath' look back.
Eric sighed and said, "Zack would you like to go to the party with April tomorrow?" I glanced
over at April who was looking at her father with a shocked expression on her face and was
pleading to him with her eyes to take it back. Well someone doesn't want my presents there
now does she. I think I'll have to piss her off just a little.
"Yeah sure. That's cool, thanks." I saw April slump in her chair, let out a sigh and pout. I
mentally rolled my eyes but was over joyed that I managed to piss her off in the matter of 45
minutes of knowing her. And I got to go to a party. Bonus!
"You're welcome. But there are some rules. You sir, are going to be the designated driver,
so that means no drinking. At all. You must come home, with April at 1:00 and no later. If
there happens to be something that is keeping you call Debbie or I so that we know and save you from having your ear chewed off when you get home. Understood?" what's the
point of partying if you're not allowed to drink? Let's see..... Oh right, there is none. I agreed
anyway to his dumbass rules. I happen to be a great drunk driver.
After dinner I took a shower and laid on my bed in a pair of basket ball shorts and no shirt
playing on my phone. I was in the middle of trying to beat my high score on fruit ninja when
my door burst open. Startled, my finger slipped and hit a bomb. Damn it. I was only ten
points away from beating my high score.
I looked up and saw a pretty mad looking April standing there. When she realized I wasn't
wearing a shirt her face turned more soft as she checked out my 6 pack. Then her eyes
landed on my big tatoo that covered pretty much my whole right bicep. It was a crescent
moon facing right with a lone star to it's right. In the moon it said 'Carly Adams, June 6,
1995 September 28, 2011, In the star it said, 'Jemma Adams-Landey, October 3, 2010-
September 28, 2011,
"Like what you see?" I said smirking at her. She raised her eyes so that she was looking at my face, with her mad look from before back on her face.
"Would you like something?" I asked causing her nostrils to flare. "Why did you say yes?" I smirked up at her and said, "Why not? The offer was on the table, and I never pass up a chance to party, even if I don't know the people hosting it. I just don't care, even if I'm not wanted. And it will be good practice for me."
April crossed her arms over her chest, "How so?" she asked with disbelieving venom in her voice. "Well your father said that I couldn't drink, and I was sent here to straighten myself out. Hence being good practice for me."
"You practice for a sport. This isn't a game Zack. Your lucky my dad didn't put his foot down about having you come here after what you did."
"You know what," I said getting up off my bed standing up infront of April. "I wish your dad did put his foot down. You think I want to be here? I don't want to be here, just as much as you don't want me here. I had no choice in the matter, and would rather be back in a nice familar jail cell than be here. And don't act like you know me. You don't know me, so stop acting like you do." I spat at her.
"I know you better than you think I do. My parents told me plenty before you got here." she said back. "That doesn't mean you know me. You know OF me. You know stories OF me. You don't know everything April, so stop being a little miss know it all, when in fact you don't know anything."
She looked shocked that I had acually said that to her. Get used to it baby because I speak my mind.
"I may not know everything, but I know a scum bag delinquent kid when I see one, and there's one standing right infront of me. I wish you were in a 'nice familar jail cell' right now. After all the shit you have pulled, you should be behind bars for more than a few hours. You know, your rich mommy and daddy won't always be their to bail you out. So do what you came here to do and get the hell out of here." she said and turned to walk away, but not before I said, "You get a whole summer of this scum bag delinquent, baby."
She stopped and spun around facing me again, "You're one cocky son of a bitch. By the end of the summer, that won't be."
Yeah. We'll see about that.
