"Why are you so eager to get rid of her!" I'm starting to get frustrated with Maike and his efforts to stop me from keeping the horse.

"How do you plan on caring for her?" He smacks a hand to his face "Princess I am more than happy to keep you comfortable and happy on this trip but arguing with me over a pony is childish. We don't have the supplies to care for an extra horse on the trip, and quite frankly there is no where to put her! Had you brought me a Cocker Spaniel puppy I would've been more than happy to oblige but there is just no room for this horse!"

"Please?" I clasp my hands in front of my chest and pucker my lips into a pout "She was in one of my dreams Maike! You have to let her come with us!"

"The dreams of your childhood are beyond matters of irrelevance." His face goes back to being vaccant and annoyed.

"No she was in one of the dreams I had about the mission!"

"Princess I really wish you would start with the important information before you let me make myself out to be a mule."

Kei chokes on laughter in the corner of the room "Buddy, you don't need her help with that one."

He and Krug high five each other and continue laughing in the corner "Look princess, I can give ya the rations needed for yer horse." Krug continues laughing "Just keep up the good work with yer mule boy here."

Maike looks just as annoyed as ever, rubbing his brow and grimacing at the floor "Why do I always get stuck with the imbisiles." he faces right and exits the leisure room, still rubbing his brow. "I'll make sure the Queen knows of our new, Equestrian, addition."

Krug and Kei wait for the door to shut behind him before they start chattering

"Why is he so up tight?" Kei snickers

"I'm givin a guess to 'im 'avin somethin real tight up his-

"Hey!" I smack my hands over Trenslors ears as she tries to contain her giggle fit.

"Sorry, Princess" Krug rubs the top of Trenslors head "It's just I feel bad fer the fella. He's got sticks in his orphases, makin 'im a real grouch!"

The boys continue to laugh

"Oh, you two are so gross." I roll my eyes at them and smile "Be nice, he is the captain of the Royal Guard after all."

"Of Filia maybe. My Royal Guard is a nice brawny wench, she ain't got a stick up 'er bum!" Krug nudges Kei "As far as we know of anyways!"

"Okay yeah, you two are disgusting. I'm going to go pack for the trip." I roll my eyes and turn Trenslor away from the two man children in front of us "Please, try to act like adults while I'm gone?"

"No promises Sango!" Kei calls out to me before we exit the Leisure room

"Your dad acts like a twelve year old sometimes."

"I'm starting to notice that." Trenslor looks up at me with the cutest smile "But Daddy is always good to me, so its okay."

"Yeah he is a pretty good guy isn't he." My moccasins make a dull thud on the shiny marble floors "When I first met him I was running away from an arranged marriage. He was sent to go find me because he was new to the Guard, and all the other Knights were pushing their grunt work off on him. Instead of just taking me home and shoving me in front of the consequences of running away, he took me out and gave me a chance to show I could take care of myself, and if I could he'd pretend he never found me. Of course I had no clue how to take care of myself. So we flew around all night and in the morning he returned me to Aliech. He trained me how to fight, how to gather, how to live on my own out in the wilderness. I always went to him for the answers. He's the reason your mommy can kick butt like she does."

"So are you and daddy going to yanno," Trenslor drops to a whisper "Get married?"

"What!?" My cheeks turn bright red and Trenslor stops to laugh at me "Wh-why does everyone keep asking that!? We are not married, we will not be getting married, and we are just friends." I mutter under my breath. "Just friends."

"Calm down mommy." Trenslor giggles

"Sango!"

"Speak of the devil himself." I say

"What? Since when am I the devil?" Kei looks confused as he comes to a stop.

"Its an expression."

"Oh yeah. I get it now. Hey, we should go and get our things together. We're leaving in a few hours."

I nod and follow after him.
