Guess who finally wrote an interesting chapter

Has your heart ever beated so fast you thought it would break straight through your chest, Your mouth trembling so much it ached, you bit your cheek so hard it bled, cried so much that your eyes stung? I hadn't, well not all at the same time, not until I got the call.

Five months after the visit

I finally made new friends, well more like made friends with the friends that Kevin invited round, I had only really been friends with them for the past four months. Since I moved I've been feeling a lot better, as if I can breath fresh air, I do miss Riverdale though. Well not really riverdale itself, more the people and pops. I still had no idea when I was going to go back, or even if I was, maybe I could convince Veronica, Archie, Cheryl and Toni to move here, probably. Actually probably not.

My eyes fluttered open and I rolled over to the other side of my double bed and sat up, I had got use to my lonely double bed, never realised how much space there was. I switched my alarm of and stood up to get ready.
I wore my ripped blue jeans with a simple long sleeve grey top and my serpent jacket over the top, I put my hair up into its iconic tight ponytail, brushed my teeth, said bye to Kevin and headed to work.

I was at the till taking orders and the bell rang off, I looked up and smiled at one of my new friends, Sammy. 'Hey Sam, want the usual?' I asked as she walked up to the counter, 'yes please Betty, how are you this morning?' 'Good, I have a feeling today is going to be a good day,' I smiled but later I soon realise that I was wrong, so fucking wrong 'how are you?' I asked as I wrote down her order and hung it up for the cook. I walked with her to a booth and sat down 'I'm okay, so I was thinking if you wanted to come to the small party I'm throwing at mine tonight?' She said with a grin, 'obviously, I've got nothing better to do, I never do. Who's going?' I replied, 'inner circle only, so there will only be like seven of us' Sammy said. I gave her a nod and smile and stood up and walked back behind the counter.

A few hours later

My shift was over so I got two coffees to go and headed back to mine and Kevin's apartment, I rang him earlier and told him about the small party and he told me he didn't have work so he could come.

I arrived at the apartment and checked the time seeing it was six o'clock, we were supposed to be there in thirty minutes. I put the coffees on the side and yelled 'Kevin, I got you a coffee and hurry up we need to be there soon.'
I walked into my room and picked out a simple light blue milkmaid dress and my white air-forces, I left my hair up and put on a loose white zip up jacket.
'You ready yet Kev' I said walking out grabbing my phone and bag, 'let's go' he smiled.

At Sammy's

We had arrived there on the dot and Sammy opened the door with a smile 'well isn't it my two favourite' she said moving out the way of the door so we could walk in. She wore a purple top with a black skirt and her brown hair down.

Once the rest of our friends were here she turnt the music up and handed out drinks for us all, most of them already drunk, but I wasn't. I was singing and dancing having the time of my life. 'Refill' Sammy asked, 'ill come and get a beer' I smiled and walked with her to the kitchen. 'So you and Liam are getting on well' she smirked at me, 'we're just friends,' I stated, because that was true, I didn't want to be anything more, 'sure' she laughed. 'No seriously though, I don't like him like that' I chuckled, 'oh yeah I forgot, your standards are a lot high since that old boyfriend of yours, was it pughead or something?' She said leaning on the table, 'Jughead. And yes my standards are extremely high, like they'd have to be Jessi out of full house,' I laughed taking a swig of my beer 'what about you and Shaun, I see you two being touchy touchy' I smirked, 'so it's a secret but the other day we kind of slept together so I think we're girlfriend and boyfriend, I don't know yet' she said, my mouth dropped open 'congrats' I smiled hugging her.
My phone began to rang off and I grabbed it of the side looking at the ID. 'Hi Veronica, what's up?' I say through the phone, Sammy stands next to me waiting. 'They told me not to tell you Betty, but I- I have to. I can't keep it from you, you need to know, you'd tell me if you were in my position' she stuttered in a fast scared tone, 'V, calm down, it's okay. Just tell me' I said calmly like I use to when I'd calm her down except this time I can't hug her, 'He's missing Betty! We can't find him, we think he's been in an accident, Toni's tried calling, but it won't go through' she cried through the phone, 'who Veronica, who's missing?' I whispered, by now I was shaking, I didn't know who it was but whoever it is, Veronica is crying over it. I heard her take a deep breath and let it out before saying 'Jughead.'

I dropped my phone letting the screen shatter to a million pieces when it hit the floor, I may have not seen him for the past couple of months but I felt like I had just been shot. 'Fuck' I yelled as I dropped to the floor crying, 'Betty, what's happening?' Sammy said in a worried tone, Kevin ran over and sat next to me pulling me in for a hug, 'I've got to go back' I finally said standing up and grabbing my phone even though it probably won't work, I grabbed Kevin's hand and pulled him to the car, 'I need to go to the airport Kevin' I shakily said as he started the engine and sped up, 'why' he asked not taking his eyes of the road. 'Jughead. He's missing' I mumble.
