Lost and Found

Chapter 9

I woke up the next morning fully alert and energized. I decided to go on a nice long run. Maybe I could get Demi to give me a lift to Some kind on track or somewhere I won't get lost. I put on some running shorts, a tank top and some of my nike running shoes. I walked out of the room. I don't know if I will ever call it my room. I guess it still hasn't hit me that I'm never leaving and it's mine.
I walked down the stairs towards the kitchen when I heard talking. I stopped and listened.
"Mom you have to understand what happened. It's not like she wanted to run away, she just copes that way. Just like how I write music. You have to let her be." I heard demi whisper.
"I know. I just don't want to loose her again. You know how much it hurt to loose her."
"I know mom. Just give her time and we will get through this together. Now let's go see if she's up."
Once they said that I walked in the kitchen.
"Hi. Um do you think you could drive me somewhere?" I asked Demi
"Where exactly do you want to go?" Diana interrupted
"I don't know, somewhere I can run. I didn't want to get lost again so I need someone to take me somewhere."
"Okay I can take you down to the track I run at. Want me to run with you?
"Actually I perfer to run alone. When I run, not a lot of people keep up and I don't wait. "
" Okay well do you mind if I just run. We don't have to stick together the whole time."
"Sure... I guess."
"Yay! I will be right back. Let me go change. " At that she ran off leaving me stand here with Diana. I looked down at the ground. But Through my hair i could see diana staring at me.

Demi came running down in a black tank top and some pink shorts on.

"come on lets go Katie." i smiled at her because she remembered what to call me.
I walked out with her and we drove to a track only about 2 miles away. I looked out onto the track. This was gonna be awesome.
