TS1: The Breeze Of His Love

Chapter 9

The university has been flooding us with lots of paper works, and activities. Today is Saturday, and supposed to be my rest day, but here I am staring at my void sketch pad trying to figure out where to start.

"Putangina!" I cursed as my phone suddenly rang. Napataas ang kilay ko nang makita ko ang pangalan ng kapatid kong lalaki.

"What is it?" I asked with exasperated tone.

"Nothing has really changed, big sister. Hmmm," he said, and chuckled. "Anyway, I am going home next week."

My exasperation vanished, and smile slowly crept on my lips. He's been in America for fucking 5 years. Hindi ko maiwasang ngumiti dahil paniguradong mabubuo na naman kaming pamilya. Miss na miss na rin namin siya.

"Really? Have you told this to Mommy and Daddy?" Tanong ko sa kanya. I rested my head on headrest of my swivel chair, and I turned it around, directing my eyes at the rising sun.

"I haven't," he said. "I am going to surprise them. Anyway, what do you want me to buy for you?"

"Wow yayamanin! Bakit parang hindi ikaw 'to, Vale? This is not so you." I chuckled.

"Tsk! Come on, that was already years ago, big sister. People change," aniya. "Still the Harvey I grew up with."

"Whatever, studious Vale!" I rolled my eyes as if he could see it.

"Anyway, gotta go already. Hafta meet someone," he said it flirtatiously.

"You leeche! Get yourself a condom, dumbass!" I said before ending up the call.

Because of the too advance excitement I felt, I had myself fueled doing my plates, and had it done just in my alloted time.

"Fuck!" Mura ko nang tumayo ako. The back pain is the product of my productive morning, as well as the plates resting on my side table.

Napasulyap ako sa dingding na pagitan ng room namin ni Dagger. The last time we interacted was 5 days ago.

"O shit!" Mura ko at inabot agad ang aking cellphone nang maalala na nagsend ako ng friend request sa kanya sa facebook. I opened my facebook at laking gulat ko nang makita ko ang notification ko.

That was two days ago. Agad akong pumunta sa timeline nito. Napangiwi ako nang makita na wala maski ni isang picture o post ang naroon.

It might not be him though so I shrugged the idea of chatting him. Pumunta nalang ako sa kitchen ko at uminom ng tubig.

I went on my message box, and scrolled through the conversation I had with Casha.

Casha: Daddy might sell it to someone,do your scheme already before it happens.

Napabuga nalang ako ng hangin matapos basahin ulit ang mensahe ni Casha. Ibebenta na raw kasi 'yong sasakyan niya sabi nito dahil 'di rin naman daw niya nagagamit sa sobrang dami nitong sasakyan.

I know for sure that I don't need to do that challenge to have a new car but knowing that they've already brought up that challenge, my pride won't let me turn it down.

They know that I don't concede defeat, and I know that I won't let myself be defeated by this so I really have to think of my scheme thoroughly.

"Fuck! Paano ko ba naman kasi malalandi kung binabaha ako ng mga paper works!" Inis kong sabi.

Gulat akong napahawak sa dibdib ko nang mag-vibrate ang phone ko. Agad kong tinignan ang text.
