ZOEY

i lay stiffly on my side. the pillow i laid in sunk and it aches me. the wool blanket made me sweat, and toss,

and turn.

all i could focus on was how lucid the kiss had been. and had it not been (and/or felt the same) as when my lips grazed zach's.

my mind ached. and my eyes burned as if i was penetrating bright light through them.

i needed aspirins.

i knew where their medicine cabinet was. i also knew that the boys don't take or use any drugs. this was for emergencies only. and technically this was an emergency.

i grab the nearest bottle which had a sticky note attached to it's tab. in which it read in scribbled handwriting;

zach's pain reliever.

apart of me smiled softly, and i shake the bottle to hear the pills inside scrape against one another. i pop the tab open and pills scatter on my palm(s) of my hand.

the two white pills lay in my palm and i put the rest back into the bottle and close off the tab. 

these weren't your average sized pills.

i grabbed my water bottled that dripped with droplets of water from the outside. plopped the pills into my mouth. threw my head back and rinsed it all with the coldness of the water. it practically froze the inside of my throat.

"so you're druggie now?" i flinched. and the remaining water didn't exactly go down my throat. it was daniel.

"im sorry," i mumble and groan as my head pounded once more. "i can stop by the pharmacy and grab more."

"you're fine, zach hates using them anyways." he walks over to the pills siting in the counter. "no more than two tablets right?"

"mhm, of course." i nod.

"jack told me what happened." my pulse started to rush, and i could hear it pulsing in my ears. "dont worry, he only told me. i wont say anything." he finished off.

"i feel like shit." my head falls into the palms of my hands.

"dont say that," he stated. "you're okay." he reassured.

"what about zach?"

"zoey— i thought you moved passed him—" he looked confused. i was confused. i silently shook my head.

"i cant."my voice crumbled. and i wipes my head before anything could slip away.

he sighs through his nose and wraps his arms around me. my head reaches his mid chest. i hugged him back. silently he rocked me back and forth, and silently i sniffle.

"zach misses you too." he said softly. "he has always."

"always."

Well I have to go now, I'm actually going out to grab some candy for the new Walking Dead episode coming out tonight!
