Yep. I'm back. Now, for this chapter I did a time skip. I know it seemed sudden, but for four chapters, were on the same day. So, let's just say it was time to jump ahead. But fear not, you will find out how her shopping with Frederick and Charles went. Also, at the end of the chapter I will be making a couple announcements. So stay tuned for that. Also, I don't own everything. Scott Cawthon owns Five Nights at Freddy's.

Chapter 7

Three days passed since Elizabeth arrived at the Afton houses and any sign of Elizabeth settling in quickly went down the drain. While the trip to the mall started off well for Elizabeth, it's sadly ended in disaster.

Flashback
Frederick and Charles were waiting outside the dressing room for Elizabeth. The two had just picked out some clothes for her and she was currently trying them on.

"I hope Elizabeth likes but outfits we picked out." Frederick said.

"She will, Fred. We worked hard to pick out the perfect outfits for her." Charles said proudly.

As he said that, Elizabeth exited the changing room wearing the new outfit they picked out for her. The outfit was consisted of a pink T-shirt and blue skirt. She was also weird a red bow. When she stepped out, she stared at the boys with an uncertain look on her face.

"So how do I look?" Elizabeth asked nervously. The boys just stared at her in silence which made Elizabeth feel uncomfortable. Frederick then held up a mirror so Elizabeth could see how she looked.

"See for yourself." Frederick said.

as Elizabeth looked at her reflection in the mirror, she was at awe at what she was seeing. She actually liked this look. Plus, she had a sweatshirt that didn't have holes in it.

"I like it." Elizabeth said quietly.

"Good." Charles said with a smile. "Now, how about you try on these shoes that we picked out for you."

Elizabeth stared at the black shoes with interest. Elizabeth quickly slid them on and she instantly like them. Mainly because they weren't held together by duct tape. Elizabeth quickly flashed the boys a smile which showed she was satisfied. While Frederick and Charles gathered all the clothes that she liked, Elizabeth decided to look around the store. As Elizabeth looked around, she wasn't watching where she was going and she tripped and stumbled into a bunch of mannequins. Has Elizabeth collected her thoughts, she looked around and saw that everyone in the store was laughing at her.

Frederick and Charles heard laughter and turned around to see a crowd of people around Elizabeth and they were laughing at her.

"Oh no!" Frederick gasped. "Charles, get Elizabeth out of here. I'll pay for the clothes." Charles nodded and pushed his way through the crowd and quickly grabbed the embarrassed Elizabeth and pulled her out of the store. Frederick quickly payed for the clothes and followed suit. He then pulled out his phone and texted the other Afton brothers that they need to head home as soon as possible.

End flashback

Since the incident, the boys felt that she was actually worse off than when she first moved in. During the day, Elizabeth would either stay in her room and just hang out with Coraline or go outside and just sit under the tree. Nights weren't much better. For the past couple nights, Elizabeth would wake up from nightmares screaming which always alerted one of the older brothers. On the first night, Elizabeth's screaming woke up Goldie who immediately ran to her room and saw her breathing heavily which resulted in him trying to calm her down by hugging her and rocking her back and forth while whispering comforting words to her. The second night, Elizabeth's screaming woke up Christopher and Alex who, like Goldie, ran to Elizabeth's room and saw her on the floor in a tangle of sheets. After untangling her, they did whatever they could to calm her down. Christopher eventually soothed her by gently dining to her which eventually caused her to fall asleep. Alex and Christopher put Elizabeth back on her bed and gave her Circus Baby. After making sure she was all right, they went back to their room. On the third night, Michael was walking out of the bathroom when he heard Elizabeth screaming. With little hesitation, Michael sprinted to Elizabeth's room and saw her sitting up in her bed drenched in sweat. Michael did what he could to calm her down. However, nothing seemed to work. Lucky for him, Frederick happened to be walking by to check on Elizabeth when he saw Michael trying to calm Elizabeth down. Frederick instantly helped his brother calm down the young girl. Eventually, Elizabeth fell back to sleep.

Theses sudden nightmares concerned all the members of the Afton House. Vanessa and William considered taking Elizabeth to a therapist. But, they quickly debunked that idea. Elizabeth didn't even talk to them. They doubt that did that Elizabeth would talk to a therapist. The parents decided to talk to Carter about anyways that they could help the young 11 year old.

"Is there any way we can help her, Carter?" William asked. "Each night she seems to get worse and worse."

"I know. Ever since the incident at the mall, she just closed herself off." Vanessa said in worried tone. "Honestly, I think she's worse than before."

"Well, I do have to agree with you on that." Carter said. "But there is really nothing we can do unless she talks to us. But I hardly doubt that's happening anytime soon."

After the conversation with Carter, William and Vanessa kept a close eye on Elizabeth. They would watch her discretely. At dinner, Elizabeth would still sit at the little table that Christopher brought up from the basement. Every night, one of the boys would sit next to her and eat with her so that she wasn't alone.

On Saturday, Elizabeth was outside playing with Coraline. She could hear the noises coming from the house and just sighed.

"Man, they really go nuts on Saturday, don't they?" Elizabeth said. Coraline just barked in agreement. Suddenly, Elizabeth heard a window open and saw an old women sticking her head out the window.

"Hey, Afton's! Turn it down will you!" The old woman shouted. Before the old woman went back inside, the old woman saw Elizabeth sitting under the tree staring at her. "Oh, hello. Don't reckon I've seen you around here before."

"Um, I moved in with them a few days ago." Elizabeth answered nervously.

"Oh. Well I'm that case, stay right there for a second. "The old woman said. She quickly ducked back inside and made her way to the backyard. "Well then, what's your name?"

"Elizabeth." Elizabeth answered shyly.

"Nice to meet you, Elizabeth." The old woman replied. "I'm Mrs. Fitzgerald. I've lived next door to the Afton's for years. Well, they may be loud and annoying, they are still good kids. The whole family has been good to me for a long time. Every year they would invite me over for Thanksgiving and even visit me on Christmas just so I wouldn't be alone. I remember one year they got me a train ticket just so that I could visit my family out of town. They may be noisy but they are still good people. So, do you have a story?"

Elizabeth looked at the old woman with an uncomfortable look. Fitzgerald saw that the girl seemed to be a little shy and nervous. But,  when you have been around as long as she has, you can tell when someone had a tough past. And this girl had a tough few years.

"Um, I'm a foster child." Elizabeth said quietly. As soon as Elizabeth said that, Fitzgerald immediately felt bad for the girl.

"I see. You must have had a rough life, kid." Mrs. Fitzgerald said. "Mind if I give you a word of advice?" Elizabeth gave a small nod. "Don't close yourself off. That family in there is doing whatever they can to help you. They are good people with good intentions. You can't let your fear of your past hold you back from getting close to other people. And those boys in that house might actually be the greatest thing to ever happen to you. This family is a sign, Elizabeth. A sign that things will get better. Heck, they might change your life for the better. You know how I know this?" Elizabeth shook her head. "Because they changed mine. It was nice meeting you, Elizabeth. And if you ever want to talk, just come on over." With that, Fitzgerald turned around and went back to her home.

Elizabeth decided to think about what the old woman said.

"Maybe I should stop closing myself off." Elizabeth said to herself. "But let's face it. It's easier said then done."

Now I hope you enjoyed this chapter. Yes, I did add Mrs. Fitzgerald for one reason. First, I felt like Elizabeth needed some old woman wisdom. Now, I have some announcements. In the near future I will be writing more fanfics and posting them. I am currently working on lots more Five Nights at Freddy's fanfics. Now, without revealing too much, one of my other fanfic involves torture. That is all I will say. So keep an eye open for that. So until next time, peace!
