He didn't move. He just lied there. When the girl got closer, she noticed all the blood on his dark clothing and pale skin. It was almost purely white, which was not a very good thing.

"Eli... Eli... uhm... Clark? Eli Clark, I believe? Are you alright?"

Her heart was racing like crazy, and everything in Demi's body just ached that he was okay, but as she got closer and closer to his body, she realized that there really wasn't any hope left.

Quick footsteps, like someone lightly jogging, made her freeze up. She was still staring at his mostly hidden body, tears materializing in her eyes. No...

She didn't know him that well but-

"Hey!" a familiar voice yelled, walking jogging up to Demi.

He slowed to a stop when he saw her standing there, staring off at nothing, shaking like crazy.

She turned to look at him.

Norton gasped at the girl. Her face looked almost dead and there were tears running purely down it. He ran over to her, taking her hand in his. She was cold to the touch.

Demi was unresponsive, as Norton began questioning what she was doing and why she was standing here crying.

"Hey, hey, are you alright? What's wrong? Please answer me-"

He felt panic swirling in his system. Something was horribly wrong. All of this felt horribly wrong.

"Demi are you-"

"Please tell me he's still breathing."

Her shattered voice made his heart drop. Norton finally looked at what she was staring at.

Right there, in a ditch, was that boy. The one that used to always have a bright smile on his face up until recently. The one that always laughed at everything and tried to make people feel better whenever he could. He was... laying face down in that ditch, his white skin stained with what looked to be blood.

Norton covered his mouth with his hand.

There was no way he was-

"Holy fuck."

Demi burst out sobbing, tears and hugs pouring out of her like a broken machine. She couldn't hold any of it back.

"Please! Tell me he isn't dead! Please Norton, tell me that he is still breathing!"

The boy just gasped, then held his breath. More footsteps were coming behind them, and the hunter was probably there too.

Someone would know what to do-

Wait... Emily was in the match with them. She was the one who saved him from a rocket chair at the last possible second.

Norton spun around, looking at the people approaching. The hunter was with them, and looked disappointed. They had all made it out. Norton felt bile coming up in his throat.

The smell of blood and crisp air were choking him, the cries of the girl coming already into the approaching people's ears.

"Emily!" he screamed out, looking at the group of people.

The girl stepped out, looking entirely exhausted. She slowly began walking over, but it quickly turned to a run when she saw his face and the sobbing girl beside him.

"Oh my god what happen-"

That's when she saw that familiar cloak.

Everything in her fell to total death, as she let out the most ear piercing scream.

"ELI, BABY, NO-"

"Why?! Why the fuck would he-"

Naib held the girl back, by holding her waist tightly. She lashed out at him violently, scratching at his arms and face to the point they were bleeding like crazy.

"Trace, please. Please let Emily help him-"

"He fucking flatlined! We watched her bring his barely alive body in and hook it up, and he fucking flatline-"

"Okay, okay, please. She's doing her best."

Tracy just allowed herself to go lax, melting in Naib's arms. The boy held her up even tighter, doing his best to just keep her from hitting the ground in the hallway.

Aesop was in Eli's room. He had been in there with Brooke Rose since they saw Emily and Norton dragging in Eli's body. Naib wasn't sure what to do, really.

There was no way he could just walk in there and talk to him, especially with Tracy acting like this. She was still sobbing, actually trying to weakly fight against him again. Naib just sighed, holding her tightly and resting his face in her hair.

She just continued to sob.

There was a loud commotion downstairs, because the Barmaid was keeping everyone down there and away from the situation. None of them really wanted anyone else to be involved. If Eli died, then there was no way that any of the people currently involved wanted anyone else to know the details about it.

It would be a lot easier to say "oh yeah, he uhm passed away" then have them all no he killed himself in a ditch.

"Please, Tracy... I'm already bleeding because of you. For the love of god-"

Sobbing.

The sound of sobbing came from Emily's room.

Naib and Tracy both shut up, looking up in shock. Neither of them could tell who or really what it was from. It was painful, as their heads and hearts raced. It was loud enough to come through the walls, but they couldn't tell who it actually was.

Naib felt tears coming up in his eyes.

What if- It's probably Emily. What if she couldn't save him. What if she-

Everything went blank, as the two both collapsed against the wall and onto the floor. Naib was still holding Tracy tightly, except she was now just sobbing in his lap against the wall. Everything felt so so numb.
