KOL WAS SEATED on a stool hunched over the bar sipping at a glass in hand as he let out a sigh of defeat after his failed attempt in leaving New Orleans. The Ancestors didn't allow him as they had bound him to the place while having control over him because of the magic that brought him back, he didn't want to endanger the ones he cared about, especially not Davina and Evelyn, but it was already too late for that.

''You just leave, no goodbye, nothing!'' Davina marched into the St. James Infirmary with anger written across her face while trying to keep her balance as she carried Evelyn inside, the Original having her arm around Davina's neck while the little witch kept her grounded around the waist.

''What are you doing here?'' Kol asked and stood up quickly, stunned at Davina's sudden appearance as he placed his glass down, but paled when he saw her help his very sick-looking twin inside. ''E...'' Kol seemed relieved to see her and quickly rushed forward to give her a hug before she almost collapsed in his arms, blood started to leave her eyes.

''I felt you.'' Evelyn whispered weakly as she tried to keep herself up on her feet while holding onto Kol. ''It was just for a second before it disappeared.''

Kol had a small smile on his face, knowing the bond they shared hadn't shattered completely. ''I'm sorry...'' He apologized as he looked over his sister's shoulder at Davina. ''I'm sorry I didn't tell you that I was leaving town, but the Ancestors won't let me leave. The second I got to the city limits I started to desiccate. Those witch spirits have their hooks deep inside of me, they allow me no peace. Just a hunger that I can't control and shattered my side of the twin bond causing my sister to be poisoned.''

''What..?'' Evelyn asked confused, but felt herself getting weaker by the second and Kol seemed to notice as well. ''You need to lay down.'' The older twin commented, quickly taking matters into his own hands and picked her up in his arms before placing her down on top of one of the tables, walking around the bar to grab his jacket as he used it to prop her head up.

He was making sure she was laying comfortable before he started explaining, ''You aren't just dying from a shattered twin bond, Eve. The Ancestors are the reason you're not getting better.'' Evelyn narrowed her eyes while surprise and shock crossed her face, not quite understanding what he had just told her. ''Vincent told me the Ancestors are manipulating our bond somehow. It should have repaired itself the moment we were together again, but the Ancestors got into the spell Davina used to bring me back and took control over me. They also took control over my side of our bond and that caused it to shatter.'' He sighed deeply before shaking his head in defeat, a saddened look on his face, ''You cannot heal as long as the Ancestors are messing with the twin bond.''
