Zak POV

"Darryl, I'm fine!" I exclaimed, swatting away his hand. He's been trying to heal my scratch for the past 10 minutes.

He says if we leave it like that it could get infected, but I couldn't care less.

"Just let me heal it." He said, "Why would you want to keep it?"

I just shrugged but I know why.

I deserve it.

I've already caused so much harm to the group. I almost killed Dave, burned Darryls hand, and broke the floor of our base.

This is like a small payback.

Darryl POV

I noticed that Zak wasn't paying attention and took that opportunity. I placed my hand on his arm, beginning to heal his scar before he could protest.

I felt him flinch, but other than that, he didn't complain. I gave him a smile as I fully healed his arm and pulled my hand away.

He rolled his eyes but I saw that he was hiding a smile. I looked around and saw Vincent looking at me, "I need to tell you something."

I walked over to him, "What's wrong?"

"Zak thinks he deserves the pain." He said.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"I read his mind." Vincent replied, "He thinks he deserves the pain, that's why he didn't want you to heal it."

I glanced at Zak, who was now talking to Finn, "I'll talk to him."

I walked back to Zak and heard him laugh as Finn said something. I smiled, first time I heard Zak laugh.

I decided to leave it for later, not wanted to ruin the mood. So I simply sat next to them and listened to their conversation.
