Chapter 9

Zak POV

I looked around at everyone and they all seemed just as worried as me. I wanted someone to reassure me that things would be okay, but no one did that. Techno went to get Darryl after we realized he didn't wake up after what happened.

I heard a knock at the door as Zelk ran and opened it, revealing Techno and Darryl. We all decided to meet at Zelk's house because his parents weren't home. He called them and said he had a few friends over, and they said it was fine.

As Techno and Darryl walked in Darryl immediately sat next to me for some reason, "So what happened?"

I sighed and began to explain, "Someone must've figured out what we're doing because the house we were at got attacked."

He gasped, "What do you mean attacked?"

"Like we heard weird noises outside so we went outside and suddenly this weird smoke appeared." I explained, "I don't really remember what happened after that."

"Is everyone okay?" He asked.

"Yeah, but Vincent said he's been feeling a little sick ever since it happened." I replied, shrugging, "He's probably just a little shaken up."

"Okay guys, I feel like we all need a break from what happened." Techno announced, "So let's all just go do whatever, and talk later, how does that sound?"

We all agreed, happy to get a break.
