Banner hid under the blanket as the next flash of lighting struck. He wan't big on storms, and the fact that this was a hurricane made it all the more worse. Everyone had gathered in the basement of Stark Towers, being it too dangerous to go outside. Tony looked over to see Bruce hiding, and rolled his eyes. "Come on Bruce, you can't really be scared of storms. I mean, you sound louder than half of em."
Bruce raised his head from the blanket to shoot Tony a dirty look. "Hey, that's not me. That's the Hulk, and I'm pretty sure he doesn't do storms either. The lights above them flickered, causing Bruce to once again hide beneath the blanket. Thor walked in the basement, dripping with rain. "It's wetter than the Terra Central out there!" He said as he pulled down his hood. He shook off his wet hair, raising a protest from the others.
Clint followed soon after, which raised a sigh of relief from Natasha. "Oh thank God you're safe. I was afraid we'd lose both of you out there." She said as she hugged the sopping wet archer. "I got the batteries and the flash lights, in case the power goes." Clint held up a bag, and Tony snorted. "You won't be needing those, Stark towers is-" Tony was cut off by the sudden dark, and a shrill scream broke the silence.
"Hold on, I got this." After a bit of struggling, a flashlight lit the room, and Clint passed over everyone's face. "Where's Bruce?" he asked, and everyone shrugged. Natasha continued to put batteries in the lights, passing them out to the others. Steve yawned, rubbing his eyes. "Geeze Steve, you can sleep through anything can't you?" Tony joked, tossing him his flash light.
"Hey, when you're asleep in ice for seventy years, you learn there are better places to nap." Steve retorted. A loud growl came from the corner of the room, and all flash lights turned to it. A large green figure was forming, and everyone froze. "Bruce? Bruce calm down buddy..." Natasha said in a soothing voice. She had never been fully successful with calming him down, but she can always try.
The figure turned around, and pounced at Tony. He yelped with fright, and began to scream for help. "Get him off me! Guys help!" Tony yelled, fearing for his life. It was then that he noticed everyone laughing. "What the hell is so funny?" Tony yelled, his heart still racing. Bruce lifted the green blanket off of himself, and rolled backwards.
"Oh my God Stark, you should have seen your face!" Bruce said between fits of laughter. Steve smirked, and Tony threw a pillow his way. "I don't want to hear it Capsicle." He growled, causing Steve to smirk even wider. "Lighten up Stark, even superheros get scared once in a while." Clint mused.
"Well not I, I am a God- the God of Thunder . Nothing scares me." Thor said proudly. Without warning Natasha pounced him, catching the God off guard. He fell to the floor, and some one cried out "dog pile!" All at once, the God was smushed beneath the Avengers, and he couldn't help but laugh. With his laugh came a roll of thunder, and another yelp from Bruce.
"Hey, God of Thunder, if you're so fearless, why don't you go out and stop that storm?" Tony asked as he attempted to get up. "I wish I could, but this is not my doing." Thor shrugged, and pushed himself up. "And besides, I enjoy the storm. I can only hope that everyone stays as safe as we are." Everyone nodded in agreement, gathering around in a circle. "Now who's up for some scary stories?"
Everyone cheered with excitement, and the storm outside was left to rage.
