I CAN'T BELIEVE I NEVER POSTED THIS I LOVED THIS FIC

It had been such a stupid argument. He didn't mean a word of it. Not a single one. "You're the worst. I wish I had never met you! Why don't you just go jump in an ice block or something and do everyone a favor? I hate you!" No, he didn't mean it. But he made it seem like he did, and now Steve was somewhere out in the world alone, on a rainy night, probably freezing his ass off, and Tony didn't know where he went. But he had to try.

He got in his car, and drove, just drove, going to all the places they usually would, and all the places Steve loved to go. Nothing. He wasn't at the studio, or the gym, or the cafes... There was only one place he could be. Tony grabbed an umbrella as he got out of the car, the rain pouring down even heavier than before. "Damn it Cap, if you're not here..." he growled beneath his breath, and headed into the abandoned park. He looked around, but the rain made it hard to really see. He peered through the downpour, and spotted a shadowy figure slumped over on a bench.

Tony walked over to it, and thankfully, there sat Steve Rogers, looking like a wet, kicked puppy. "Hi Cap," the man said, loudly, but at the same time quietly. Steve looked up, an angry scowl on his handsome face. "The hell do you want Stark?" he asked, shifting away from the man as he sat down. "For you to come back to the tower and get out of the rain." the brunette answered, and he could hear the other man scoff. "Why? So you can yell at me some more?" he snapped, and Tony winced at the tone. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said what I did, I wasn't thinking..." he said, but he knew Steve wouldn't believe him.

"You know, you have a habit of 'not thinking'. Why don't you just leave me alone?" The blond said, wiping the rain from his face as he glared at Tony, who looked down at the ground. "Because Steve, we're friends, and, we should look out for each other. I never meant what I said. I was just, angry." he said, sighing. "Look, we can talk about this later, when we're out of the rain, and not in danger of catching pneumonia. Now can we please go back to the tower?" "No." Steve said, and crossed his arms stubbornly. "I'm not going back with you."

"Oh go ahead and act like a five year old. We're going home." He stood, setting down his umbrella and attempting to pull the man up. "Tony, this isn't going to happen." The blond said, trying not to laugh. "Yes it is. Get your ass up!" Tony grunted, and moved to his back, trying to push him off. But Steve wouldn't budge. The brunette looked at him, eyes angry and lips set in a pout. "Get up."

 "No."

"Fine, then I'll just make you." He reached down into the ground, and dug up a handful of wet earth. Steve's eyes grew wide as he realized what the other man was doing, and he quickly stood. "Get away from me Stark...."

"Get in the car Cap." Tony said, a smile twitching at his lips. He cocked his arm back, which sent the other man running. "I win!" The brunette called, but his victory was short lived as Steve stopped, saluted him, and then proceeded to slide into the mud, completely covering himself in the dark liquid. "Ready to go home Stark?" The blond called as he got in the passenger side.

Tony simply got in the car without another word. "Consider us even." Steve smiled as he relaxed back in the seat, rubbing himself against the fabric. "You're cleaning this car you know." The brunette snapped, and began to drive. But as they got closer to home, Tony couldn't keep up his angry composure anymore. "You know Steve," he started, causing the blond to look over. "You look good in brown." He smirked, and began to chuckle, which turned into laughing for the both of them.

"Just drive Tony." Steve laughed, and playfully slapped some mud on his friend's face. Tony smiled, and did as told.
