"I can't believe we're doing this." Steve grumbled as his fingers danced against the keys of his electric piano.. "Well believe it Capsicle, we said we're going to do this for Clint, and we owe him one." Tony shrugged, tuning his guitar and helping Bruce tune his bass. "Speaking of Clint, anybody know where he is?" Thor asked, picking up his bass drum. The others shrugged. "Here! I'm here!" Clint rushed in, breathing heavy and hair a mess. "Sorry, I got caught-"

"Never mind what happened, you need to get fixed up and fast." Tony said quickly, pushing the man into his seat. "No girl is going to want you looking like that." "We've got five minutes to make him look good." Bruce pointed out, and the brunette smiled. "That's more than enough time. Thor, toss me your hair gel, and go get set up. I've got lover boy here." he ordered, and the boys did as requested.

"So why did you suddenly change your mind about going Nat?" Pepper asked as they grabbed a seat, fifth row in the large school aud. The red headed girl shrugged, crossing her legs and relaxing back into her seat. "Figured it's better than sitting home all night." Natasha muttered, but Pepper didn't buy a word of it. "You're just here to see Clint." the strawberry blonde teased, earning her a cold glare from her friend. "I've told you before. Love is for children." The other growled, before turning her attention back to the stage.

Phil Coulson, one of their classmates, appeared, and greeted everyone in the auditorium, making the necessary announcements before introducing the first act. "And now ladies and gentlemen, I'd like to welcome The Avengers, who will be performing "Just the Girl" by the Click Five. Enjoy!" Everyone clapped politely, except for Natasha, who looked skeptically at the stage, watching as the curtain pulled away to reveal the five boys, Clint at the front, holding a nice looking guitar. His hair was styled in a nice fauxhawk, and he was dressed in a tight-fitting, but still somehow masculine outfit. The rest of them were dressed similar, and Nat could hear Pepper beside her clapping a little louder for Tony. Clint looked around, catching Nat's eye, before beginning to play. The rest joined in, and the room was filled with music.

"She's cold and she's cruel but she knows what she's doing," Clint sang, quite nicely, and the red head felt her jaw drop slightly. "She pushed me in the pool at our last school reunion." The lead's body began to loosen a bit, and he began to sway a bit to the music, continuing with the lyrics as he did, foot tapping along to the beat and his eyes never leaving Natasha's. As soon as he hit the chorus, he bent the mic back, ditching his guitar and really getting into it. A smile worked its way to his lips, and the red head felt one reaching her's as well. The other band mates began to loosen up as well, and Tony helped with back up vocals, smirking as he did. "I think this song is about you Nat," Pepper giggled to her friend, who didn't respond. She was too wrapped up in Clint and the song to think about anything else.

"The way she sees it's me, on her caller I.D, she won't pick up the phone she'd rather be alone. But I can't give up just yet, cause every word she's ever said, is still ringing in my head, still ringing in my head!" The crowd was cheering by now, and Natasha was full out smiling. He danced across the stage, really getting in to the lyrics and the beat. The others were right there with them, even Steve and Bruce. "She's just the girl I'm lookin for," Clint sang, pulling the mic from its stand, and jumping off the stage. Tony continued to sing, watching his friend with confusion. Natasha held her breath as Clint walked over to where she sat, taking her hand and smiling.

"Just the girl I'm looking for." He sang the last of the lyrics, and the crowd clapped wildly, but above all, the beginning chant of "kiss her", led by Tony no doubt, began. The two looked around, both embarrassed but not showing it. Without warning, Natasha pulled Clint down to her level, and kissed him. They broke it off after a moment, the crowd still clapping, and Clint with a goofy grin on his face.
