This is what happens when I get bored in study hall
~*~
Loki opened the cell door and smiled down at his prisoner. Thor struggled against his shackles, but found it impossible. He had been trying for the last day, they weren't going to break. "Look at you brother," Loki mutters as he enters the cell, his dark cape flowing behind him. The dim light gleams off his golden horns, and blinds Thor for a moment. "You have fallen. How could you believe that you could defeat me? Me, Loki, the God of mischief!" Loki booms, the sound echoing off the stone walls. He regains his composure, and turns away from his brother.
"You always looked down on me, you always thought me the lesser. Well no more!" Loki turned back to his brother, whose eyes were full of fear. Loki laughed to himself. "I will prove to you, just how powerful I really am. He shifted the staff in his hand, and moved towards the prisoner. "Loki, think about what you are doing! We were brothers!" Thor pleaded, hoping that he could once more reach the brother he knew and grew up with. "I don't have to think. I know what I am doing; I know I will finally get what I deserve!" Loki stooped down so he was eye level with Thor. "It's a shame you won't be here to witness my greatness. " He placed a soothing kiss on his brother's lips, causing the larger God to pull away. Loki smiled before ramming his staff through Thor's heart, causing him to scream in agony.
Loki clamped a hand over Thor's mouth, muffling his screams. He watched the life slip out of him, and a single tear rolled down his cheek. Thor's body fell to the ground with a soft thud, his eyes glazed over. "I'm sorry brother." Loki whispered, wiping his tear away. He slowly stood, and retrieved his staff from Thor's heart. He quickly turned away, and headed out of the cell, leaving the guards to dispose of the bodies. Loki retreated to his bedroom, and sank to his knees. He cast away his helmet, running his hands through his dark hair. Sobs rocked his body, the tears refusing to come. Laufey walked out of the shadows, smiling triumphantly.
"You did well my son." he said, placing a hand on his son's shoulder. Loki quickly batted it away, turning to look up at his father, his grief turning into anger. "Why would you make me do this? Why would you force me to kill my only brother?" Loki shouted, standing up. "He was not your brother. He was the son of the traitor Odin." Laufey snapped, surprised by his son's reaction. "Odin was more of a father to me than you could ever be!" Loki reached for his staff, but Laufey caught him. He grabbed his son's throat, and held him against the door, tightening his hand. "How dare you!" he growled, watching his son struggle for air. "You shall pay for your treachery!"
Laufey tightened his hand slowly, and Loki clawed at the hands that held his throat. Laufey only squeezed tighter, a sadistic smile forming over his lips. He watched the life finally leave his son's eyes, and the clawing hands went limp. Laufey relaxed his hand, watching the body slump to the floor; a red ring had formed where his hands had choked the life out of Loki. He lifted the body, and carried it out to the balcony. He placed it on the banister, and looked down into the vast land below them. Laufey shoved the body, and watched Loki's lifeless body fall. "A life for a life."
