➿ Boys are in trend these days.
And they're also crap, sadly.

Couldn't they have been a trend when they were nice? Were boys ever nice?
Or they've been trending since forever?

It just seemed that people were really into the idea of them. The shorter hair, the deeper voice, the strength, all of those things being stereotypes but that's not the point.

She doesn't feel proud admitting it, but the fever has also affected Selena. Lately she finds herself talking or thinking about men more than she'd like to.

Every chain of thoughts in her head leads to a guy in one way or another, every time. And she's had it.

It's not like she has a personal problem with them, though. She just doesn't really care, or didn't, about them.

From her perspective, there wasn't anything that amazing about men. She tried and couldn't find many reasons for them to be on everyone's lists of wishes. But there was, undoubtedly, something that made people long to have one at their side. A catchy something, because they were sticked on their brains.

Was it the broad shoulders? Because there are slim more attractive guys.

The deep voice? Not all of them are blessed with it, and it could become annoying, maybe.

Are they smart?

Are they the protagonists of the stories people like to talk about nowadays?

The dick, maybe?

So it just takes to have a dick between your legs, an arrogant attitude, a taller figure, strong arms, and to own a truck to take them out on dates.
That's all you need if you want a girl to be crazy for you. Although, to be fair, not every guy was Nate, and not every girl was Maddy.

In Selena's boys department, it's all just about Fez and uncle Joaquin.
The only men in her life; the only ones she needed, and the only ones she wanted.
And if Harry Styles can count too, then it also includes him.

Just the three of them.

She has had a few boyfriends throughout her marvelous life, and they weren't even that bad.

Maybe boys could be somehow nice.
Some of them care about details, some are extremely handsome, they smell good, their arms are a great source of comfort.

Well, except for that one guy, but we don't talk about that.

...Oh well.

Season 9 of Friends is certainly not much of a good season.

Season 9 of Friends just allowed her mind to go travel to Jupiter, for hours, without her passport, when it's specifically supposed to keep her there, to entertain her, distract her, keep her in the story, in the jokes.

But how could she blame Phoebe, or Chandler. "It's Roschel's fault, as usual".
Selena recalls growing annoyed of the toxic dynamic of the couple some episodes ago.

It also didn't help that it kept reminding her of one of the reasons she was trying to distract herself by watching the show with her uncle.
Apparently Maddy blacked out at the party, and she was seen with some dude, and Nate was at the party.

She just knew it wouldn't be too long for them to be back together, and she was tired of being annoyed or/and worried about it.

Still, watching Friends didn't help to that cause.

First, she thought about how nice it would be to be watching The Office.
Jim's first cute haircut, and a good romantic comedy story. But then she remembered how bad the show became after Michael left.
It frustrated her. It could've ended at that but they decided to make two more seasons, just to turn Andy into a douchebag so that Erin could breake up with him without that being such a cold slap.
