Song: Me Because Of You by HRVY

Having Grayson with me in California was the most amazing thing. Especially since he finally knows how I feel about him. We had our first date last night, and it was perfect.

He made it perfect.

He took me to a clearing over the city, and had a picnic setup for us. The view was beautiful, and my date was the most handsome man I have ever seen. He was wearing a blue button up shirt with khakis and brown canvas shoes. His hair sexily messed up like usual.

For food, he ordered takeout from The Palm and got us both Fettucine Bolognese. It was amazing. Then, we sat and watched the city below us for a little while, before packing up the picnic into his rental car, and headed for what he called part two of our date.

He ended up taking me to the Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserve. Apparently, he had made a private tour when he found out we would be coming here together, and added the picnic to it for the perfect date. I think he did and amazing job. Seeing all of those beautiful wildflowers was breathtaking, and I would definitely love to go back.

But, unfortunately, we're currently on the plane back to Denver.

The week spent in California was far too short, but I still get to have Grayson with me now, which I could never ask for anything more. But I know when we get back, I have major damage control to figure out what the hell happened with Liam and Jessie. I've barely been able to talk to either of them since I found out they broke up.

"Hey, we're landing soon." Gray whispers to me, breaking me of my thoughts.

I look up at him and smile. "Okay."

"Are you going to rest first, or go straight to Jessie's?" He asks, as we both strap our seatbelts, as the flight attendants go over the procedures for landing.

"Probably go straight to Jessie's. Are you going to talk to Liam?" I ask him, pushing my tray up.

"Yeah, I think so. I just don't know what could have gone wrong, you know?" He says, and I nod, completely understanding what he's saying. Nobody expected them to ever break up.

——

After we land, Gray and I say goodbye until tomorrow, and go our separate ways. As much as we both hate to do so. But, we did just spend almost the whole week together. I get in my Jeep, and head straight to Jessie's to find out what's going on.
