****GRAYSON'S POV****
It's been a couple of days since Rae's accident, and she's still unconscious. The doctors said it's normal from the trauma her body took, especially the trauma to her head. They said her wounds from the glass are healing nicely, and that it didn't hit anything major, so she'll recover just fine.
I haven't let myself leave the hospital since she got here a couple of days ago. I won't leave her side. I can't. My parents had to go back to work, but Liam and Jessie have been here every day after school. Surprisingly, my parents are letting me skip school to be here. I think they know I wouldn't go regardless.
Ashton decided to go back to school yesterday, hoping it will be a distraction, and to have us get him as soon as she wakes up. Their parents haven't left either. They called their families the day before yesterday, telling them what had happened. Austin, Nick, and Carter got here yesterday. The rest are waiting for word on how she's doing, to not overwhelm her parents.
"Grayson." A voice snaps me out of my thoughts. I look up to see Nick watching me. "Go home for a bit. Or at least get something to eat."
I would say no, but I need to shower and get some fresh clothes. I let out a sigh, and nod. "Yeah, okay. I'll be back later on. Please let me know if anything happens."
"I will. Her parents have your number." He nods, and I kiss Rae's forehead, before leaving the room.

I must have been more exhausted than I thought, because after I showered and changed clothes, I passed out for four hours. Luckily, I don't have any missed texts or calls. But now I'm hurrying back to the hospital.
I stop at Starbucks along the way, to get Starbucks for Rae's parents, my parents, Ashton, Austin, Nick, Carter, and Liam and Jessie. I text Liam and ask him to help me bring it all in. Since it's two full drink carriers, plus two.
"Thanks for helping, man." I hand a drink carrier and Liam's coffee to Liam, and carry the other carrier and my drink myself.
"No problem." He nods, walking next to me into the hospital.
"Has there been any updates?"
"The doctor came out and said the swelling she had on her brain has gone down immensely, so she should wake up sometime in the next day. Her wounds on her stomach are healing nicely, and there's no infections anywhere." He tells me, as we step into the elevator.
"That's amazing." I can't help the smile on my face at the good news. She's so strong and doing so amazing.
"Your dad is also helping Mr. Emerson sue the news outlets that put out the false news about Rae dying in the accident." He says, shocking me.
"Wow. I didn't expect that. But I guess having a lawyer as your friend has its perks." He nods, stepping out of the elevator when it hits floor five. I follow him out, and we walk to the private waiting area.
"Thank you so much! You're a lifesaver!" Mrs. Emerson says, taking her coffee from the drink carrier, as soon as we step into the room. I chuckle, nodding.
"You're welcome." I smile, handing out the rest of the coffee's.
"How's suing the media going?" I ask my dad, sitting down across from him.
"We have a very good case, but other than that I can't say much about it." He says. I nod, knowing he can't spill much information.
"They're going to pay for the hurt they've cause. No, I don't care about the money, I care about the fact that they didn't even get the full story first. They just went and put complete shit on the news. My phone has yet to stop blowing up." Mr. Emerson says with a scowl.
"All of the money is going to the charity of Raelinn's choosing." Mrs. Emerson adds in with a small smile.
"That's a great idea." Austin comments, sipping on his coffee.
"Nick and I have to head back, but please keep us in the loop." Carter says, tossing his now empty coffee cup into the trash can by the door.
"Of course. Thank you guys for coming." Mrs. Emerson says, hugging both of them, followed by Mr. Emerson, and Austin.
"Have a safe trip home." Mr. Emerson says, as Nick and Carter leave the room.
"Well, I'm gonna go grab some food. Who wants to come with me?" Jessie asks, looking around at everyone.
"I'll go." Austin shrugs, standing up.
"Me too." Ashton says, and the three of them leave the room.
"I'm surprised you're not going too." I comment to Liam, who looks up at me as I sit next to him.
"I think I've been crowding her lately. I want to give her some space away from me." He says with a shrug. "Austin and Ashton are basically our family too, I trust she'll be safe."
"She will be. She's in good hands." Mrs. Emerson comments with a smile, having overheard part of our conversation.
"Did you happen to grab Gray's schoolwork?" My dad asks Liam, as he flips through his case file he brought with him. He and Mr. Emerson have been chatting majority of the time, I think just to keep Mr. Emerson's mind busy.
"I did, actually. It's out in my car. I can give it to you guys when we leave." Liam responds.
My dad nods. "Thank you. I appreciate that. I know he's not going to go to school right now, but I don't want him falling behind."
I'm very luck to have parents that understand that I'm not leaving until Raelinn leaves. I'm going to be here as long as I need to be. As soon as I see her, I have to tell her I love her. I can't wait any longer.
The door opens moments later, and the doctor walks in. His face is serious, and everyone is up on their feet in an instant. His next words make my heart race.
"She's awake."
