"Mitch, I- I have to tell you why I never really let anyone get close to me." I sigh. "And why you don't want to date me."

"Come on, why wouldn't I?" he says.

"Because I have cancer, Mitch. I have brain cancer."

"What?!" he exclaims. "We have to get you to the doctor!"

"I'm fine, Mitch. I- I'm okay." I stutter, but I start to get light-headed.

"Zoe?" he says. "Zoe!"

The last thing I see is Adam's crying face when we get back to the house.

"Come on Zoe, you can do it." I mutter, as I wait with the guys in the ER.

"Zoe Dahlberg's group?" a doctor calls.

We stand up, and he walks over to us.

"We were able to take out the tumor before any serious damadge was done, but she went into a coma during the surgery. She has a month to wake up before we pull the plug, and any additional time will cost $2000 for two weeks."

"Oh my God," Mitch mutters under his breath.

"Can we see her?" I ask.

"Yes, one at a time." the doctor says, and guides me to her room.

"Hey Zobear," I say, sitting down beside her. "You can make it through this. We'll pay for every extra day of life support if we have to. We're not going to give up."

"I love you," I say, tearing up. I kiss her head, and walk back out to the waiting room.
