When I walk into the lunchroom with Josh the next day, there are new people sitting at our table.
"Zoe, this is Anna, Ash, Allison, Jo, and Alex." he says, and they look up from their phones or food or whatever.
"Hi, I'm Anna." a girl with a "Shake It Off" T-shirt on says, playing with her long, straight, brown hair.
"Ash," a girl with a "Team Internet" shirt and nods, making her reddish-brown hair bounce.
"'Sup, I'm Allison." a girl with straight brown hair, bright blue eyes, with a "Danger Days" black and white varsity jacket and a "I'm Not Crazy, I'm Just A Fangirl" shirt on says, blushing. She's shy, I figured that out as soon as I saw her.
"I'm Jo," a girl with a CaptainSparklez shirt and blue-green ombré hair smiles, twirling her hair between her fingers.
"And I'm Alex." a girl with brown hair with red tips and a black shirt with a red plaid overshirt nods.
"Nice to meet you guys," I say, and start to eat.
Towoards the end of lunch, Allison says the most words she's said to me all day: "Hey, aren't you ThatMCGirl?"
"Yeah, I am." I smile. "You watch me?"
"Yeah, I do." she smiles. I think now that she knows me a little better, she's warming up to me.
The bell rings, and Allison and Josh walk with me to Social Studies.
--------TIMESKIP TO LAST CLASS-----
"Goodbye class!" Our Spanish teacher, Mrs. Castro, waves as we walk out the door.
"See you tomorrow!" I wave to them as I walk to Dad's car, which is parked in the parking lot by the carpool lane.
"How was your day?" he asks, pulling into the carpool lane, so he can get to the road.
"It was good, I made, like, five new friends." I smile, and unlock my phone.
"That's good, I thought you would." he smiles, which makes me chuckle.
