When the final bell rings, I rush to my locker, and get my stuff. I run outside, and spot Josh on his skateboard.
"'Sup?" I ask, rolling up beside him.
"Not much, just stressing about that essay we had to do for our summer reading." he sighs, continuing to roll down the street with me.
"Wanna come over to my place and study?" I ask. "I'm pretty good with essays."
"Okay!" he nods. "Let me just text my mom and tell her."
Ten minutes later, we burst through my front door.
"I'm home!" I shout. "And I brought a friend! I'm so social!" #If anyone can tell me which TC fanfic that is from I will love you forever#
Adam walks in, right as we set our boards down.
"Who's your friend, Zoe?" he asks, ruffling my hair.
"Dad, this is Josh. Josh, Dad." I say, and they shake hands.
"What are you two gonna do?" Dad asks.
"I'm helping him with an essay," I say,and he nods "Okay" and goes back into the living room.
"We jog up the stairs and into my room, backpacks bumping against our backs.
"You didn't tell me your dad was Mr. Sky-Does-Minecraft," he smirks, flopping on my bed, where I told him to sit.
"You-YOU-watch YouTube?!" I laugh.
"I like to think of myself as a little unique," he mocks.
"Oh, shut up." I laugh, and boot up my laptop. He pulls his MacBook out of his booksack, and plugs it into my wall.
"You have a Razer?" he asks, looking at my laptop. "And you write essays on it?!"
"Listen, Mister Skater Boy," I laugh. "I have one laptop for everything, including school."
"Aren't you worried somebody's gonna steal it?" he asks.
"Not really. I keep it hidden." I say, and he nods.
"So...which book again?" he asks.
"Oh my God, this is going to be impossible." I laugh. "The book was 'Fangirl' by Rainbow Rowell."
"That book was the worst thing I have ever read." he says, groaning.
"I thought it was amazing," I say, and look at what we have to put in our essay.
------TIME SKIP-------
"Oh shit, it's seven!" he says, and quickly packs. "I need to get home!"
"Want me to come with you?" I ask.
"Sure," he says, and we rush downstairs.
"I'M TAKING JOSH HOME!" I yell.
"OKAY!" Alesa yells back, and we run to the sidewalk and jump onto our boards.
"Race ya!" he shouts, and zooms ahead.
"Wait! I don't know how to get to your house!" I laugh, and he allows me to catch up.
About ten minutes later, we are at his house. It's pretty big, with a big Southern porch spanning the front of the house, columns and all.
We walk through the front door, and he calls his mom in.
"Nice to meet you," she says, smiling.
"Your house is beautiful," I say, and she smiles.
"Well, I'd better get going, see you tomorrow!" I say, and wave to Josh when I close the door.
HEY!
WAS THAT BAD?
I BET IT WAS.
Anyway! The new characters will be announced in the next A/N, which will be later today or tomorrow. Peace Broskis!✌️
