Today was the day; the week had been dragging on so much. I have had too much homework and I have been hardly sleeping but I have been looking forward to tonight all week. It was Friday, which meant that Luke and I were going to meet up with Calum, Michael and Ashton to go bowling. I was nervous as I wanted them to like me as they were Luke’s friends. I only had to get through my last lesson, which was I.T and then I could go home, get ready and then go bowling.
“Hey,” I turned to the side when Luke started tapping my shoulder. “, what are we meant to be doing?” I laughed at him as he was never listening, every single lesson.
“We are using CSS code to create the elements for our website and then you need to explain how and why you did it and then put it all together.” He nodded and then turned back to his computer and started his work with a smile on his face. I don’t understand why he was happy to do the work as it took ages and was so boring. We had done the exact same type of work for GCSE and we are now just doing it again but in more depth; why did I do this to myself? I started my work as I knew it had to be done and I didn’t want to do it later. I got into my work for what felt like a few minutes when I felt another tap on my shoulder, but this time on my right.
“Eliza, do you want to hang out tonight?” Rosanna asked me, I felt kind of bad when she did as I knew that I couldn’t as I was going with Luke.
“I can’t tonight, I’m going bowling with Luke and I am meeting his friends.” I gave her a small smile but as soon as she started grinning I stopped and stared at her. “Why are you looking at me like that?”
“So it’s a date?” I shook my head and slapped my hand over her mouth in case Luke heard.
“No, I am just meeting his friends.”
“Sure,” she didn’t sound convinced at all. “Are his friends hot?” I gasped at her bluntness but a small blush came on to my cheeks.
“Err, yeah.” She grinned even more. Then I had an idea; I turned round to Luke and, this time, tapping his shoulder.
“Luke,” I waited for him to face me. “Can I invite Rosanna along tonight so I’m not the only girl there?” I smiled at him whilst he thought about it. He then nodded his head.
“Yeah sure, I’ll tell the guys.” He smiled at me before getting out his phone secretly; i’m assuming to text the boys. I turned back to Rosanna and got her attention again,
“Do you want to come bowling with us to meet them?” if it was even possible, her smile got wider and she nodded.
“Yeah, maybe I can become besties with them.”
“What about dating?” her smile then became smaller, almost shyly.
“I already have someone lined up.” I then perked up and turned around to face her fully.
“Oh my god, who and why didn’t you tell me?” she looked down at her desk trying and failing to hide her obvious blush.
“Err, you are gonna be freaked out.” She looked back at me and I could see in her eyes that she really like the guy as she looked so happy
“I don’t care, tell me.”
“Are you sure?”
“Erm, you know him.” That didn’t give me much to go on as I knew a lot of people, that’s a lie, I really don’t but that’s not the point,
“Ok, tell me now.”
“He’s a friend of a friend.” That didn’t help me narrow it down anymore.
“Name please…”
“Jacob…” I knew a few Jacobs but I couldn’t narrow it down from that.
