"How did it go?" Wanda asks while getting a drink from the fridge. Loki was focused on washing up your dishes to even notice her question. "Loki?" She asks waving her hand near his face. "Oh sorry Wanda didn't see you come in. Did you need something?" He says drying off his hands. "I just asked how lunch went." "Oh I'm not sure if there is a good word to describe it." He continues as he nervously plays with his fingers. "What happened?" Wanda persist pulling herself up on the counter to sit. "Well I did get into her head and tried to plant some images that would trigger her memory but she knew it was just me. Along with the images I told her stories from when we grew up together. She didn't believe any of it saying if what I said was true then why can't she remember and started to cry. Then I started to cry, turning into a big blubbering mess. I finally composed myself to tell her maybe it was the fall that caused her to forget. Then she didn't even know about it so I had to tell the painful story again. She started to cry more, she feels bad because her just being here upsets me and she hates hurting people. I tried to assure her I was happy just being able to know she was alive. She allowed me to hold her in my lap and tuck her into the bed to rest awhile so that's good right?" Loki explains as Wanda listens carefully. "Yeah I would say it's progress. She's getting more comfortable with you to let you hold her and get in her head even if she knew it was you." "That's a relief. I guess it's just baby steps to solve this. I just want her back." He sighs looking in the direction of your room knowing you're sleeping peacefully. "Oh she wants to come to dinner tonight too." "Really? That's great! I'll let the others know to be on their best behavior so we don't scare her off." Wanda beams as she hops off of the counter to go tell the rest of the team. Loki goes back to his room and reads before it's time to wake you for dinner.
You are sleeping soundly in your new bed. Sound sleep is an odd concept to you but you don't fight it. You begin to dream about The Grandmaster and the Collector. You missed them and craved to have something familiar. Your mind then wonders to the images Loki put in your head. They were lovely but your head still couldn't believe that they were real. Why would someone like Loki play with you as a child or even fall in love with you? He was a prince after all. Just as that thought passed you mind you spring awake. You don't believe he ever told you that he was a prince so why would you have thought of that. You look at the clock and it reads 4:30. Might as well get up and ready for dinner you thought. You make your way to the bathroom and realize you don't know how to work a midgardian shower. "Shit, hopefully Wanda is in her room." You mutter conjuring a bathrobe on your body before leaving for Wanda's assistance. You lightly knock on her door trying not to bring too much attention to yourself. After another knock you hear a booming voice come from the other hall. Thor was talking with Loki as he rounded the corner. "Ah (Y/N) glad to see your out of the room!" He shouts making his way quickly to you. "Umm hi Thor?" You say as a question. "Yes it's me your brother in law in the flesh." He teases while Loki just stands there offering you a tight smile. You two make eye contact and magically whisper to each other "is he always this loud?" You ask silently. "Oh yes but you'll get used to it." Thor regains your attention, "so what are you doing out here in just a robe?" "Oh it seems that I don't know how to turn on the midgardian shower." You say with a small laugh embarrassed that you couldn't figure it out. "Would you like some help? They can be tricky sometimes." "If you don't mind. I would like to freshen up before joining you guys for dinner." You lead the brothers into your room and to the shower. "You're coming to dinner?" Why did you mention this to me brother?" Thor crosses his large arms over his chest scowling at Loki. Loki just shrugs as he gets into the small linen closet in the bathroom and pulls out a towel for you. "Well I'm glad you're coming (Y/N) I missed your dinner conversations." "My what?" "You big oaf she still doesn't remember us or that part of her life yet." Loki says while throwing up his hands in disbelief that his brother is so dense sometimes. "Nevermind him. This is how you turn on the water then you pull this thing to make the shower head come on." He turns the knobs and tests the water with his hand. "Ah I think I got it right. Test it to see if that's the right temperature." You place your hand next to his slightly brushing your skin against his causing him to smile down at you. "Yes this is just right." "Of course it is" Thor interjects "you guys would always shower together. You guys would say it's to conserve water but we all knew what was really happening." Your face becomes red and if looks could kill Thor would have been dead in an instant. "And with that we will give you privacy to enjoy your shower. I'll come back later to get you for dinner." He says shoving Thor out the bathroom. "Bye (Y/N) see you at dinner" Thor says with a wave. Loki shuts the door and you lock it after. "That was weird." You sigh as you take off the robe and step into the shower. The warm water caressing your body gave you some comfort. You begin washing and begin to think about what Thor said about you and Loki in the shower. "How could someone share a shower together? There's not much room in these things for two people. But I guess it would be needed for a good back scrubbing." You think to yourself. "Wait that means Loki knows what I look like naked." Your eyes widen at the thought, "then that means I would know what he looks like naked too." You shake away the thoughts as you turn off the water.
You dry off and fix your hair how you like it. "What to wear?" You think while standing in front of the mirror. You conjure up some outfits before settling on a nice evening dress you wore while watching the Contest if Champions with the Grandmaster. "He always loved this dress on me so I guess it would be fine for dinner." You say to yourself as there was a knock on your door. You conjure it open knowing it was Loki coming to take you to dinner. He was in black jeans, green tunic and a grey cardigan. "Well don't you look lovely." He coos walking into the room. "You think so? I want to make a good impression in something other then my armor." "I think you will achieve that goal. You ready to go?" he asks standing behind you looking at you through the mirror. "As ready as I'll ever be." You sigh turning towards the door. "Hey don't be nervous. The team is a pretty friendly bunch I'm sure they will adore you once they get to know you better." He says taking your hand in his rubbing your knuckles with his thumb. "How do you know I'm nervous?" He cocks his head the the side and smirks at you. "Really? how could I not know." He teases closing the door behind you.
