Confiding in Each Other

Loki gave you a tour of the compound that is now your home. The tour ended at Loki's favorite spot, well besides your room, the library. "Tony has a good collection but it's not as good as home's." He says as he traces his fingers over the spines of the various books. "Care to sit with me while we wait for lunch?" He purrs leading you to a little corner of the room with a couch and large cushions. "Sure." You get comfortable on the beanbag like cushion and Loki sits next to you on the ground. After a few moments of silence Loki asks, "can you tell me what Thanos did to you?" You are visibly shocked by his question. You didn't know if you could physically do it. All of those overwhelming memories of torture and pain caused tears to prickle your eyes. "I was captured by him too." Loki says softly nervously playing with his fingers. "You were?" You whisper looking into his green eyes. He gave a slow nod and took your hand in his. "After I lost you, I went on a rampage not knowing what to do with myself. I got involved with the wrong crowd that promised me something that I thought could fill the void of you being gone. I wanted to rule Midgard as a benevolent god. I thought if I had subjects to rule over it would distract me from the pain of losing you. I was supplied with an army and a powerful weapon." He pauses looking down at your abdomen cautiously placing a hand over your dress. You tense up under his fingers about to pull his hand away when he continues. "The chitauri scepter." He whispers as a tear rolls down his cheek. You gasp at his words as painful memories flash through your mind. He removes his hand from your body and shifts to look at you in the eyes. "In return I had to give Thanos the Tesseract. It sounded too good to be true so I refused." "He doesn't take no for an answer." You whisper as your hands unconsciously ghost over your scar. Loki nods and looks down at the floor. "What did he do to you?" You ask placing your fingers under his chin to get him to look at you again. "Well since I'm a frostgiant he would burn me. Burns hurt normally but it's agony for someone like me. I finally agreed just to stop the pain. I came here with the army to try to take over but the avengers stopped me. That's when it was just Steve, Tony, Clint, Natasha, Bruce, and Thor. After my defeat Thor took me back home to face Odin. After some time in the Asgardian dungeon I was released on account of good behavior. Thor brought me here and after some time I joined the team. If you can't beat them, join them am I right." Loki chuckles. "I'm sorry that happened to you Loki." "It's ok my dear I'm safe now and you are too. We all protect each other around here." He hums flashing his beautiful smile.

"If I tell you what happened to me I'm going to need some support." "What do you need darling?" He says says eagerly resting his hands on your knees gently squeezing them. You silently crawl into his lap hugging him close to you. He picks you up bridal style as he makes his way to the couch. He holds you in that position while you nuzzle your head on his chest. "When ever you are ready my love." He coos running his fingers through your hair. "Well what exactly do you want to know? I already told you why I attacked." "Tell me what he did to you. No matter how bad. I need to know." He says in a soft growl hugging you tighter causing you to feel more secure. "Well first he tried to extract the power from my body thinking the stone was in me but I only have an insignificant amount of it in me. That was pretty painful it was like he was trying to rip my veins out from under my skin. Then came the scepter." You breathe as shivers run down your spine. Loki rubs small circles into your back. "After that I gave in." He sits you up in his lap so he can look at your face. You rest your forehead against his and lean into his cool hands they caress your cheeks. "You have my word (Y/N) I will make him pay for what he has done." "We will make him pay." You whisper holding Loki tightly never wanting to let go.

"Loki you in here? Lunch is ready!" Thor's voice booms as he walks into the library. His voice causes you to jump and your eyes dart around the room trying to find the thunderer. "It's ok my sweet." Loki chuckles as he helps you to your feet. "Ah Lady (Y/N) you're here too. It's good to see you." Thor smiles. "Will you be joining us for lunch?" "Yes Thor. Just as long as I don't make a fool of myself again." You sigh realizing you're going to have to face the team again after your embarrassing episode last night. You're going to have to face Bucky too, even though Loki said everything was fine you still felt bad. "Let's go I'm starving." Thor says offering his arm. You look at him then over to Loki making sure it was ok since you didn't feel as comfortable with the blonde prince as you did with Loki. He nods and you cautiously take his arm and walk to the dinning room. You 3 were the last ones to sit down which caused all eyes on you when you entered the room. Conversations carried on but you got a lot of quick intense glances. You sat between Loki and Wanda with Thor and Bucky across from you. Bucky gave you a soft smile when your eyes met. You were about to say something but Wanda cut you off. "Hey (Y/N) it's good to see you out and about. Your dress is pretty." "Thank you. Loki took me on a tour." "Oh that's good." While everyone else was eating Loki noticed that you weren't. He magically whispered to you, "My love are you going to eat something?" This pulled you back to reality and he noticed. He took your hand and gave a gentle squeeze. "What's wrong?" "I have to apologize to Bucky. Can you tell him I need to talk to him after lunch?" "Your wish is my command princess." You giggle out loud and Loki's smirk grew wide when the team side eyes you since to them you laughed at nothing. You quickly shift your attention to eating.

As lunch was wrapping up Loki pulled Bucky to the side and told him your request. "Oh she doesn't have to apologize you already did for her." Bucky says crossing his arms over his chest. "I know but I think she will feel better if she did it herself." Loki turns to look at you as you help clean off the table. "How are things coming along." Bucky asks looking over at you too. "Pretty well actually. She's starting to remember bits and pieces with and without my help." "That's great Loki. I'm happy you found each other again. She's a very beautiful woman and if she wasn't already yours I'd probably try to have her on my arm." Bucky teases and Loki side eyes. "Yeah I'm pretty lucky but that last comment got you on my radar now Barnes. Don't try to steal my wife when I just got her back. That's not very nice." Loki chuckles turning back to the ex assassin. "No need to worry Loki I know she's yours."

The others make their way back to whatever they were doing before the meal leaving you, Bucky and Loki alone in the dinning room. You sit back down in your chair and the boys follow suit. "Thank you for letting me talk to you after my drunken outburst last night." You say softly looking down at your hands. Loki's arm drapes around your shoulders trying to give you some comfort. "Not a problem doll, that kind of stuff happens around here all the time. You aren't the first and won't be the last." Bucky says placing his hands up on the table. You look up at him and he smiles. "I just want to say sorry personally. I know Loki already has but it will make me feel a lot better saying it myself." "I accept your apology. No harm done. I understand that it's something people would be curious about seeing it for the first time." There is some silence before Bucky extends his arm for it to be closer to you. "Wanna touch it?" He chuckles. Your eyes widen and give a soft nod. Your hands ghost over the cool metal. You feel the inter workings tense and whorl under your touch. "You can feel me?" You ask looking into Bucky's eyes. "Sure can princess." He coos taking ahold of your hand and bringing it to his lips. "Wow that's impressive." You giggle looking over at Loki who knows Bucky is just teasing him with kissing your hand. "Do you need me for anything else doll?" He asks as he returns your hand to the table. "Actually yes. Loki said you didn't remember your friend when you first arrived. You were like me for a while." "Yes that's true." "Did your memories all come back at once or was it gradual?" "Gradual. And from what Loki has told me you're making good progress." He smiles and Loki cuts in. "Yes great process my sweet." Placing a kiss on your cheek. "That's good to know." You sigh as you all get up from your seats. "That's all I need. Thank you Bucky." "Anytime doll." He says opening his arms out for a hug. You look at him strange and Loki says "oh I forgot to tell you they are a hugging kind of team. You'll have to get used it it." You nod and slowly embrace Bucky. "There we go. Now everything is good again." Bucky laughs before letting you go and taking his leave.

"Well I feel a lot better now." You hum turning into Loki's chest. His arms snake around you holding you tight. "Your hugs are better." You giggle as Loki rests his chin on your head. "That's great to hear my love. What shall we do now?" You shrug. He places a kiss on the top of your head and smiles down at you. "I think I know something we could do." His eyes gleam with mischief.
