No sooner had we sorted out everything, than we were on our way to look for our rooms. Fortunately we found out that our rooms were on the same floor, although not the same. My room:

My roommate lived in one half of the room, the other half was empty for me. It seemed like my roommate has gone out, so I had time to explore the room and put my things away. I had arranged with Katie that we would meet at six o'clock in front of her room and go to dinner together. Shortly before five I heard the beeping of the door and a small, dark-haired, somewhat firmer Asian woman crept into the room. She wore her hair open, which swung from one side to the other due to its length. When she noticed me, she stopped right in her track. An embarrassing silence broke out. When I realized that I was probably responsible for the first step, I just stammered: "Hi, I'm your new roommate I guess..." Of course, nothing better, more original than this slipped out! I could have slapped myself left and right. "Nice to meet you I'm Margaret, but please call me Meggie!", she answered me while a big smile spread across her face. We quickly got into conversation and I learned the most important things about the school, she told me a lot about herself and we realised that we had some things in common. In no time, the time passed by and I jumped out the door in a hurry and ran down the hall where Katie was already standing with her legs in her stomach. Excitedly we told each other what we had already experienced and tried to make our way to the dining hall. Meggie had told me that she would take a shower first and would join us afterwards.
