With a tray we lined up in the row of the food distribution. In front of me stood a tall, slim boy surrounded by chatting girls. Katie and I watched the scenario calmly and then, as usual, put our heads together and made fun of it in Swiss German. I was just about to say "And look how..." when the boy in front of me turned around and stared me straight in the eyes. I broke off in mid-sentence with a bold grin on my face. The heartthrob had a distinctive face with a slightly grim expression. His dark almond eyes scanned me to the letter. When I noticed that I was no longer breathing, a comment was made. "What's so funny?", he asked me with a look that could kill. I looked at him embarrassed: "Nothing!" "I speak a little German and even though I don't understand what exactly it's about, I noticed that you're talking about me." Surprised, Katie and I looked at each other. Shit! This guy knows German!!! I want to sink into the ground! Meanwhile the women's harem had also put their interested looks on us. Some stared at us curiously, others simply hostilely. Oh, how I hated it when all the attention was on me! Bravely I made a step forward: "Wrong, you are not interesting enough to talk about it. Besides, you shouldn't listen to other people's conversations!" Was that just a hundredth of a second surprise I saw flitting across his face? But he knew how to hide his defeat. With an annoyed expression on his face he turned to his fans again. Was he serious?!! Had he just ignored me in cold blood! Whew, arrogant bastard. Later we learned from Meggie that the mysterious guy's name was Sota and that if possible we shoundn't get friends with him. "This guy is the biggest f*ckboy in this school and he plays with the hearts of girls like we play videogames. "All girls fall for him and all of them stop loving him with their hearts broken", she told us.
After dinner we went to our rooms. Meggie and I chatted for a long time.
