Cherry yapped and jumped wildly around in her box. Carefully I opened the door when she was already jumping towards me. I fuzzled the faithful little soul.
After some long back and forth, we were finally standing outside. Happyly with the leash in the hand we walked off. Yes, it sounds like I am married to my dog, but remember: your dog is the only one who loves you more than he loves himself. A light wind came up and I pulled my jacket tighter around me. Soon spring will be here and all those sad-looking trees will be in bloom. My thoughts wandered away as those deep brown almond eyes came before my inner eye again.Back home I found Meggie over some exercise books. She greeted me with a smile.
Meggie: "Hey, where have you been? And is this the little Cherry you told me about!"
I said: "Yep, this is the true love of my life."
Meggie: "And how was your first day?"
I said: "It was fine. Well with a few exceptions."
I started telling her about Hyun and explained to her that I had to visit classes with Sato. Afterwards she told me about her day when Cherry started to whimper excitedly. I took her on my lap where she curled up in the familiar scent. Meggie told me that around the corner there was a kind of dog place where people brought their dogs while they had to work and that the dogs got a lot of exercise and love.
After some research I found out that this was not so expensive and registered Cherry at the shelter. With little motivation I set myself to the tasks.
The next morning I was up early. I grabbed Cherry and went jogging with her. At home, in Switzerland, I used to do this every day. I quietly closed the door behind me to let the snoring Meggie enjoy her beauty sleep a little longer.
The school area was quite beautiful. It had many trees and you could also discover a lot of nature in other ways. Slightly freezing I turned my round.
On a bridge, over a small pond I stopped and stared into the black water. The morning frost covered the grasses around the pond. Suddenly I heard footsteps from some distance coming towards me. As quick as lightning I turned around. Wearing a sports outfit with headband, breathing clouds rising from his mouth thanks to the cold air, no one but SATO came towards me at a brisk pace. I turned around on my heel. But there was no less than a minute when he tapped me on the shoulder out of breath.
Sato: "Tell me... are you running away from me?"
Me (looking around): "Who? Me? No, definitely not."
Sato: "Oh, then I must have imagined it."
Ugh how I didn't feel like talking to that asshole. I was about to move on when he quickly reached for my hand.
Sato: "About yesterday... I'm sorry!"
Me: "I'm sorry."
With a strong jerk I broke free from his grip and ran back to my dorm. Sato was left stunned.POV/Sato
F*ck! Did she really just ditch me. Other girls dream of me taking her by the hand and she is cheeky to me and leaves me standing!
