4: Step-Sisters

Nang makalabas sila ni Hazel sa Common Hall, agad niya itong inaya papunta sa Ancestral Tree.

Of course, Anastasia's maidservant tried to stop her.

But as Nyssa was really dying to see this tree that might have some clue about what had happened to her, wala itong nagawa kundi ang sundan siya.

Unfortunately, she was stopped again by two ladies.

Arianna and Alyanna blocked her way.

"Can you please move?" Nyssa tried her best to keep her annoyance to herself. After all, she was still inside an unfamiliar place.

Mukha namang nabigla ang kambal na dalaga na nasa harapan niya.

But they immediately got over their surprise.

"So totoo nga! You really have a memory loss."

Nyssa just looked at them. But in truth, gustong gusto na niyang balyahin ang mga ito paalis sa harapan niya. In Ryder residence, she might have a not so good reputation, but no one dares to block her way at all. Kahit pa si Moira.

"Well, isn't that too convenient for you, Anastasia? How could you forget everything?"

It took a lot of effort not to roll her eyes at these idiotic twins.

Nyssa stood up straight and looked at the two ladies innocently.

"Is it?"

"Of course, it is!"

Even though the two ladies looked exactly like each other, Nyssa could immediately differentiate them by their attitude. One who is like a spoiled child and the other act as someone who is superior to others.

Both have unlikeable traits.

"What to do then? I really can't remember anything. Not even the two of you."

"What?!" OA pa na pagkakasabi nung isa.

"How dare you forget about us?"

"I... I don't know. Are you important to my life?"

Nyssa was meant to offend them by asking that. And she immediately got the reaction she wanted.

"Aba't!"

"Arianna, Alyanna, what do you think you are doing?"

It was Alexandra who came to rescue Nyssa. Not that she needed her to do so. She could easily defend herself against these ladies.

She might have lost all her abilities as Nyssa when she changed into Anastasia's body but her mind skill was still the same. She could easily tell what level of skill a person had just by observation.

As for these two, she did it without any sweat at all. They might have both cultivation and martial art skill but utmost, they were still at the mid-star warrior level.

Anyway, dahil biglaang dumating si Alexandra ay nagbagong bigla ang akto ng dalawa. They were suddenly nice and kind little kittens.

"Alexandra, we just heard the news about Anastasia's memory loss so we thought we should go and talk to talk to her."

"That's right, Alexandra. How could this happen to Anastasia? Our poor sister..."

Nyssa could have vomit blood upon seeing the poor acting of these ladies. Who would buy their Miss-nicey-nice drama? Ugh!

"Indeed. Anastasia is so unfortunate. But still it was her own fault now why she is missing her memories. If she heeded everyone's advice about climbing the Ancestral Tree, she could not have hurt herself at all."

"Alexandra! How could you be this heartless? Anastasia is already suffering." At maiyak iyak pa daw yung isa sa kambal. If Nyssa guessed it right, this spoiled brat lady is Alyanna.

Agad naman siyang inalo nung kakambal niya na si Arianna. "Now, now, Aly. Alexandra is just trying to make Anastasia realize her mistake. Lalo pa nga at wala siyang maalala dahil na rin sa naging aksidente niya."

"You should not cry for her, Aly. Anastasia is way older than the both of you. She needed to be more responsible for her own action. Otherwise, she would just cause other a burden in the future."

Matapos sabihin ni Alexandra iyon ay saka naman ngumiti ng matagumpay sa kanya sila Alyanna at Arianna. Well, mukhang nais talaga ng mga ito na mapahiya siya. And Alexandra just willingly did that for them.

Nyssa just bowed her head to hide her unbelieving expression. Too be honest, this kind of theatrical facade these Meng sisters showed her, was too much for her.

At least Moira really showed her dislike towards her.

At mabuti sana kung sila Alyanna at Arianna lang ang nasa pagpapanggap na iyon. Alexandra was also fooling them at the same time.

As for her???

Pretending is also one of her expertises. After all she wouldn't be a great treasure hunter if she wasn't.

Sinukuan na ni Nyssa ang magpunta sa may Ancestral Tree after ng engkwentro niya kanila Alyanna, Arianna at Alexandra.

She also thought that it might not be good to be seen by others na nasa may ancestral tree siya lalo pa nga at pinagbawalan na siya ng ama ni Anastasia na pumunta doon.

But only for now while everyone was still up. She would make sure to visit the tree as soon as most of the people in the residence were sleeping.
