Sabito // Do you find me beautiful yet?

Yet another one for @The_Moon_Pillar i hope you enjoy this one!

"Do you find me beautiful yet?" My big e/c eyes met with his lavender ones.

"hmm here! this will surely make you the most beautiful person ever y/n!" he plucked a pale blue flower from the ground and tucked it behind my ear. he giggled and ran off towards ukorodani~sama.

Even though we were only kids i desperately wanted him to call me beautiful, at least once before we went to final selection. as we grew up i still asked him the same question every day "do you find me beautiful yet?" and every time he would deflect the answer.

"hey ukorodani-sama why has sabito deflected my question everyday for the last six years? all it requires is a simple yes or no so why has he never answered me?" i looked over at him, he just continued to watch sabito and giyu train in the distance. "Y/n you know sabito doesn't like answering those questions directly, maybe try paying attention to his actions and the way he treats you compared to giyu. you've had feelings for him for awhile now y/n i think you should confess before its too late."

i looked away towards sabito who had just knocked giyu off his feet. he was standing proudly and laughing as giyu sulked in the dirt. i sighed. "if we make it back from final selection, ill do it then." Ukorodani just simply chuckled and walked towards the boys to see if giyu was injured at all.

i looked down and stared at my palms. they had lots of small cuts from training and from when we went to the waterfall to go swimming. a gentle smile appeared on my face as i recalled the memories of all of us swimming together.

FLASHBACK

"sabito~kun be careful not to hit any rocks!" i called out to him from the tree we had tied a rope swing to. of course sabito didn't listen and hurled himself directly into the shallow water... hitting the rocks. me and giyu ran over to him as ukorodani~sama hadn't come with us.

I knelt beside him and placed his arm around my shoulder pulling him out of the water and laying him on the soft grass beside the river.

"god sabito, i told you not to jump so far out. this is the third time you've hit the rocks this week! your going to break something at this rate." he sat up and chuckled , placing one of his hands on the side of his neck.

"y/n i'm sorry, its just really fun jumping so far out. and look i'm not injured at all!" he jumped up and pointed to giyu. "the one who jump's the highest off the rope swing gets to decide what we have for dinner!" they both ran off towards the rope swing as i walked slowly into the deeper water.

i watched them compete for hours, joining in for a few of their matches and surprisingly won once. before ukorodani~sama came to make sure no one had hurt themselves on the rocks.

"Ukorodani~sama! i jumped the highest i get to decide what we have for dinner!" sabito had a big childish grin on his face as he stood proudly on a rock in the middle of the water, only to be pushed of by giyu who laughed at him , slipped, and fell into the water as well.

we all got out of the water after a little bit longer and started walking back to the hut. the entire time was giyu and sabito arguing over who jumped the highest and the occasional 'be quiet' from me or ukorodani~sama

in the end it was a peaceful day free of training that we all enjoyed and needed.

FLASHBACK OVER

Ukorodani~sama had placed a fox mask in my lap as i was reminiscing about the past.

"Its time for you all to head to final selection. it will be extremely difficult and you might die. are you all sure you would like to go." ukorodani~sama was serving dinner and we all nodded. he sighed and handed us our dinner.

"leave at dawn tomorrow i hope you all return back to me alive."

Time skip

we all arrived at final selection a few days ago, we all ended up losing each other a little while ago. that was up until i heard a scream come from nearby.

(Sabito isn't gonna have his head crushed this time cause i want it to be dRaMaTiC)

i ran towards the scream as fast as i could, only to see sabito about to be eaten. i drew my sword and charged at the demon.

"Water breathing: second form: water wheel!" (i think water wheel is second form-)

I sliced the demons neck and landed on the ground, i placed my sword back and looked around frantically for sabito. then i saw him, he was laying on the ground surrounded by blood. i ran up to him and gently picked him up in my arms.

"Sabito? sabito please hold on i can take you to the entrance and we can leave, you cant die we have to go home to ukorodani~sama!" i started crying as i stared into his lavender eyes. he gave me a soft smile and sat up placing his head in the crook of my neck.

"Y/n your beautiful." his voice was almost a whisper. i could feel his tears running down my back, i gently placed a hand on his head and played with his hair.

"sabito, i love you." i smiled warmly as i played with his hair.

"sabito?" i gently shook his arm.

"Sabito, hey now's not the time to pull pranks." this went on for a long time and ended with me screaming for him to open his eyes.
