Lyndsey's POV:

One our way into the award show, I lost Niall and my friends. I was walking around like a lost puppy. I had no idea where Niall went and I didn't even know where to begin to find our seats so I decided to walk about and see if I could find him somewhere. Anywhere. Everything was going pretty well until I accidentally ran into someone.

I quickly gasped and apologized to the woman without hesitation. I felt so bad that I began apologizing for everything right out of the gate.

The young woman slowly turned around.

"Oh my god, you're Hailee Steinfeld!" I shouted. "I love your movies and songs. You were great in Pitch Perfect!"

Hailee smiled at me and said, "Thank you, you are too sweet!"

"Oh my gosh girl, I am so sorry for accidentally running into you. You see I got separated from my boyfriend and I can't find him." I explained.

"Oh no! Maybe I can help you out." Hailee suggested. "Who is your boyfriend?"

"Niall Horan," I answered as I blushed.

Hailee looked like she had seen a ghost. It was weird. It was like she immediately switched personalities.

"You're dating, Niall?!"

"Yes," I replied. "Why? Do you know him?"

"Sweetie, I used to date your man," Hailee smirked. "And if you think he is going to stay with your ass then you are lying to yourself."

Oh my gosh! Who does she think she is? How dare she say this to me? This is real life tea that I don't want to be apart of. I felt my blood begin to boil.

"Excuse me? And what is Niall's type?" I snapped.

Hailee laughed and said, "You're looking at it."

I took one step before I was pulled back by someone holding my arm. I looked back only to see Niall.

"There you are, Lyndsey." Niall began. "I've been looking for you everywhere."

"Hello, Niall." Hailee interrupted.

"Hailee, I see you met my girlfriend, Lyndsey."

"Indeed I have."

"Well, you can clearly see that I've upgraded since I've moved on from you." Niall sneered.

Hailee's smile quickly faded into a frown. I couldn't help but smile at this moment. She got burned so bad by Niall and I wanted to bathe in this glory but I wouldn't because I was the bigger person.

"Lyndsey and I better be on our way," Niall said. "Have a great evening, Hailee."

Niall and I walked off leaving Hailee behind us.

"Perfect timing," I whispered.

"I got you, dear," Niall said, before kissing my temple.
