It was a peaceful night for Mike and Will, they were sitting on a log in front of a bonfire, just in silence and admiring the orange and yellow flames that came from the fire, around them there were teenagers talking and laughing but the couple just ignored everything around them and enjoyed each other's company.

Will was resting his head on the taller's shoulder and Mike was holding his hand, both deep in his thoughts until the brunette spoke.

"Mike?" the smaller boy asked, catching the dark haired boy's attention.

"Yes?" the taller boy replied while he turned his attention from the flames to Will's pretty big brown eyes, giving him a little smile.

"I was thinking...tomorrow you are going back to Hawkins and we're probably not going to see eachother until summer vacations and then until winter and then until spring again and that just made me think that...how long would you want to umm- b-be with me?" the brunette boy spoke softly while still watching the flames consume the branches.

Mike was a little taken aback by this, he sometimes did think about Will being at his side in the future but it wasn't something he often worried about.

"I think...that shouldn't be something to worry about, we have had eachother for years and I think we were made to stay at eachothers side, don't you think?" the freckled boy said with a bigger smile and laying an arm around his boyfriend, pulling their bodies closer.

"You're right, we'll be always together" Will said with a little grin on his lips and finally looking up to face Mike, who's cheeks turned pink as soon as the brunette leaned closer for a kiss.

"I love you Mike" the brunette said as soon as he pulled out fromhis boyfriend's soft lips, that for some reason now tasted like marshmallow.

"I love you too Will" the taller boy replied with the bigger smile he could give, he really felt in heaven, Will was all he ever needed.

It started to get dark in the woods, the moon and stars being the only thing that gave light to the group of teenagers that were sitting all together, that except for two boys.

"Wh-what were you going to tell me?" Eddie anxiously asked after a moment of brief silence between him and the taller boy standing right in front of him.

"I really don't know how to say it, it's a little complicated, Mike told me i should just spit it out so-" in that moment Richie was interrupted by the small brunette, who said something that will forever stay in his mind.

"I like you" Eddie confessed.

The taller boy let out an awkward chuckle, scratching the back of his neck.

"Yeah uh- i was going to say that" he replied nervously.

The smaller boy just gave him the same awkward chuckle in return.

"How-how long?" Eddie mumbled quietly, he was curious how long Richie has liked him but the answer he got was different than expected.

"12 inches" the curly haired boy replied with a smirk, winking his eye from behind his thick glasses.

"And there we go, you ruined it" Eddie said rolling his eyes but even with that he managed to crack a smile, he would never change Richie for anything in the world.

[ ... ]

The night kept going and everyone started to leave, after sharing smiles, laughs and hugs, even the fire was gone by now.

The last ones on leaving were Max, Eleven, Will and Mike, they had to wait some extra time because Jonathan got lost for a bit and arrived later to pick up the teenagers.

They all made their way in Jonathan's car to the Byers residence, it was late and everyone was tired.

Will fell asleep on Mike while both Eleven and Max fell asleep on eachother.

Once there everyone got outside the car and into the warm Byers' house.

"Goodnight Mike" said a sleepy Will once he was placed on top of his bed.

"Goodnight Will" the taller boy said taking place next to his boyfriend on top of the soft mattress and giving the smaller one a gentle kiss on his forehead before closing his eyes and falling asleep.
